The Burton Custom EST Binding delivers buttery-flexing adjustability to help you make the most of your Channel snowboard. The single-component polycarbonate baseplate and highback ensure a soft, even flex for ultimate comfort whether you're learning to link turns or getting after it in the park. ShredBed baseplate padding puts you closer to your topsheet for a lower center of gravity and better board feel.
Bottom Line: Mellow flex, serious board feel, and enough cushioning to stay on the hill all day long.
EST bindings are only compatible with an ICS (channel) board. If you are riding a board with inserts, but want the similar board feel you get from EST, look into a Burton Re:Flex binding.
I love this binding. It not only looks cool, but feels just the same. The new est feel really lets you connect with your board for the most board feel ever imaginable. I also love the primo strap and capstrap. The ankle strap gives you really good support but also a nice amount of forgiveness. The capstrap really keeps you'r boot all the way in your binding all day, and the grip makes it stay on you'r toe without slipping. The smooth glide buckles are amazing too. They're easy to get on and off. So overall this binding is definatly 5 stars. I can't find anything wrong with it considering the price.
Dogfunk.com knows that no one wants the used-car-salesman experience, so we decided to show you the other guys prices in an effort to keep your shopping experience as informed as possible. The Burton Custom, EST at $180!!! that is crazy. The most board feel you can get out of a binding, All EST bindings flex 91% better than a traditional 4-hole disk binding. That is crazy!! This means that EST bindings will give you more board fell with equals more control which equals more fun, and everyone wants to have move fun.The Custom has an upgraded footbed over last year. Ultra Lightweight, with a stance window to make sure you are all set to shred anything and everything. Killer price for a Killer binding. The custom is legit, playful and durable. It has a responsiveness rating of 4. Get one before they are all gone.
Burton makes pretty good shit coming from a guy with a Burton Hero board, Burton Moto boots, Burton Cargo pants, Burton Launch jacket, and Burton Gore-Tex Under Gloves. But DAMN they can't make a binding for Shit. First time on the hill the White on the toe-strap was peeling, second time the whole toe-strap takes a dive to the pavement as im walking to the car, then after about a week or so later the ratchets are coming loose. Overall NOT A GOOD BINDING however sets up very nicely with the Channel system. If you are looking for a quality binding for this price look at some Union Contacts
These are great, they really soft and flexible. If you want/like something stiffer then try the missions or the cartels. http://www.dogfunk.com/burton-mission-est-snowboard-binding http://www.dogfunk.com/burton-cartel-est-snowboard-binding
I like the color of these bindings and i think they will go great with my Women's Supermodel board. I wear a women's 8.5 size boot, and I wanted to know if I can still get these bindings even though theyre men's bindings. Should be okay right?
hey grant u can tell if ur board works with est bindings if board has two slots on the top which burton calls the channel, also in ur boards description it should mention it has the channel. if ur board does not burton also sells many other regular bindings that would be compatible with a board with no channel. if ur confused on how the channel works burton has a few videos showing how simple it is to install est bindings. hope i helped mann!
Just bought a Sherlock and I'm looking for some bindings that won't break the bank. Would these be a good bet? Does anyone have any other recommendations as well?
Your riding style should be a big factor in your decision here. The Custom bindings are the softest (least responsive) binding in Burton's lineup. I think the Custom's work super well in the park and for buttering around and stuff. I think the Cartel EST's pair up really well with the Sherlock- they are more responsive, but still versatile. They are more expensive than the Custom's, but I think you will be happier with them.
i have size 8 burton moto boots, what size bindings should i get, and whats the sizing chart because im still growing and don't want to buy anything that i can only get one year out of
