These bindings are so customizable that at first it took a while to get them set up. Now they're the template for my other bindings.
after a 100+ days they're still holding up, the high back broke in a way I cannot understand how (along the side toward the top) Little duct tape and still shredding.
the ONLY negative, boots won't all fit this binding, they have to be wide. my 32 Prions are too narrow but the 32 Lashed fit great. I'm sure any Burton boot will fit fine.

If your boots is a bit smaller and slimmer, as in any shrinkage technology by burton or Salomon then a medium will fit no problem. If you boot is fat and wide then go with the large. Either way the Large will work. It will fit just fine.

Do the job if your a soft rider... Toe straps keep coming loose off jumps and skip when you try to tighten them. Overall I don't reccommend them.

The toe cap ratchet is really bad. Go with Union, any or all.

Yes it will. You just use the discs that should have come with your supermodel board for these bindings. You will be good to go.

I wear a size 13 boot and would be putting these on my 09 Ride Fleetwood 165 27cm wide, Will the large binding fit well?? Thanks.
andrew
Member since
Yes. The Large is made to fit a size 10+ so you will just have to max the straps out and they will fit fine.

I brought these as my first bindings thinking Burton was good respected brand, I read the reviews and focused on the positive thinking what happened to others would not apply to me, I was wrong. These binding are a just a waste of money, unless you ride greens all day or you're just a noob that doesn't know any better. The Ratchets SUCK, they get your boots semi tight but start to slip if you attempt any further tightness. The toe strap slips off the boot due to tightness issues as well and the overall quality is laughable, as one person has said, it looks and feels like a cheap toy. Back to the ratchets, if you slip too many times while tightening you will chew the teeth right off, and fast, expect a very limited lifetime if you are foolish enough to purchase. Ride LX /RX or Drake fifties are a superior bindings and highly recommended and competitively priced . Learn from my mistake, not your own!

Hey so do bindings bought online usually come with screws (and maybe even the driver) included?
And also can anyone who's tried these bindings tell me if they will fit DECENT on any right sized boot?

They will come with all hardware necessary for installation. No driver though. Package includes 8 screws, 2 three hole mount disks, 2 four hole mount disks for non-burton boards or just one set of uni-disks for use on both burton and non-burton boards.
I found that it depends on different brands/models of boots. Most boots with the proper sized binding will fit fine. Although I have ran into a problem with mine where the capstrap didn't fit over the toe of my boot properly and would slip off mid-run no matter how I adjusted them. I had to use it over my toes instead. Not a major problem but a bit annoying considering the set-up was burton on burton. There's always risk when buying online but dogfunk is awesome and speedy with returns and all that good stuff.

I wear a size 14 boots are the large bindings to small?
Fur Finley

No, I think you would be ok. I had 13s in Burton boots at one point and also have Burton Custom bindings, and they were fine. So I don't think one more size would do much. The bindings have an adjustable plate by the toe that you can extend out like four notches. It adds a little length to them for ya.

This is to ask another question, What about the straps i bought 14s burton boots and bought the new k2 sonic bindings and one of the straps is having a hard time catching is it going to be like that always with such a big boot?
Sizing Note
Jim O'Leary
Member since
It is mid September, so this is less of a review and more of a important thing to note. The provided sizing chart, and a review below both recommend the that the medium bindings can fit boots up to size 11. I wear 10.5 Burton Motos, and there is no way they fit. Wicked toe overhang, and the capstrap won't ratchet properly.
That said when I exchange for large, these seem like solid bindings.

can the burton customs go with a non burton board such as capita scaremaster?
Matt Huck
Member since
yep definately. All burton bindings (except the est models) come with two plates, one for burton boards, and one that fits most other boards. And since capita doesnt sell boards and bindings they dont make their boards fit exclusivly to a certian type of binding (like burton does). Although if your looking for a good binding with a capstrap i would reccomend a pair from flux. There much better quality. I work at a ski shop and iv seen many a broken burton binding

im looking at buying the Burton Mission Poncho Villa bindings and i dont know how they are. I wear a size 10.5 boot so would a medium be good for me?
Fur Finley
Member since
Well these above are obviously Burton Customs which are a decent binding. Not top of the line, but they'll certainly work. As for Burton Mission bindings, they are a nice binding as well. Poncho Villa? not in stock at backcountry.
Your 10.5 boot will be perfect for a medium. If a medium is out of stock, you could also purchase a large and still be ok.
