my favorite

i had not boarded in a few years when i got these to get back into it. they are nice and flexy so they are easy to use. they are definitely good for jibbing and smaller jumps. plus you can bomb a run with these as long as your not jumping cliffs. because of the cap strap and the adjustable highbacks, they are still pretty responsive. you wont see these in the x-games, but they are great for beginners and mid level riders

Sweet Bindings

I love these bindings. They are nice and flexible and have good support. Good bindings for shredding in the park with. Plus the purp's look really sick! ones mostly black, and the other mostly purple. It looks really nice on my Hero!

well....

ive had them for about two seasons now and the toe strap is just shredded apart.and it keeps sliding off of my toe. the screw holing the toe strap on fell off in the first two weeks i had them. they also seem kinda thin but maybe its just my boots (32 lashed). my friend had the same exact ones as me and his toe strap snapped off and burton wouldnt replace them. the backplate is held on with what seems like a good adjustment system but what really isnt. if you try to adjust them you must take the bindings off you board. and after you ride for a while you cant re-tighten them. overall they are responsive bindings, but have many drawbacks. for the money they are good for beginners but i would rather go with technines or unions for a intermidiate to high skill levels.

Buy it

If your even questioning buying thease amazing bindings. think no more! just BUY! I moved from my first bindings to these, I love the toe strap, medium/good reponce from it, the ankle strap is super comfy and holds its own, the high back helps with flex for jibbing. I am riding an Ride Agenda with this board, and love them both, Good for any level riders in my opinion! But there is one thing i have noticed after about 3/4 of a season of riding, the toe strap slips off here and there, and the ladder on the toe was chipping a little, but thats an easy fix.

ok i have two questions: first will these bindins fit a burton deuce board wide? and this a dumb second question but if i buy these online do bindings come in pairs?

Best Answer Responded on

Yes the bindings will come with a pair, and yes they will fit on the deuce.

Hey

I am looking at the size chart. But, are they for women or men?
I use size 40 in women shoes. From Nitro. What size will fit me?

Responded on

40 in europe sizing? That is a small in mens, or a Large in womens. This is a mens binding.

flimsy

I have owned cartels for now 2 seasons. Burtons design for their highback has just two flimsy screws holding the plastic high back on their binding. After about half a season of serious riding they start to loosen and dont re tighten. you foot starts to click and un click the high back support.

Responded on

most likely its not the high back support screws that are making the clicking noise....its the high back lean bar clicking back and forth on the back on the binding...so what i did is i took a thin piece of electrical tape and taped it to the back of the binding where the high back lean bar makes contact

Responded on

no more clicking sound try that....the reason why the screws wont re tighten is because they are already maxed out

which is you opinion between the two same price bindings..? Burton custom and Forum faction?

Responded on

I'd go burton, I've never had an issue with their bindings and they have a better warranty just in case. Burton bindings are extremely comfortable too. Unless you're dead set on one of these two bindings check out Union's too, they are also bulletproof and very comfortable.

Responded on

The Faction bindings combine both nylon and Aluminum. You get the best of both worlds. The other main difference is the toe cap. The Forum Faction has the same toecap as their higherend bindings. It never slips and never falls apart. The straps on both are pretty comparable. Both are good. You can't go wrong.

Responded on

Yes they will. Burton bindings are size boots 8-10 medium and 10+ for Large. Get the right size and you will be stoked. These bindings are awesome. Soft and durable.

this is probably a stupid question because...

this is probably a stupid question because iv been riding for 5 years and im an advanced rider haha:P.
whats the difference between the est or non est?

Responded on

No stupid questions. EST bindings are made specifically for Burton boards with the channel. Non EST bindings are compatible with traditional 4-bolt pattern boards.

Responded on

The Channel
Now on more boards and evolved for greater performance, the Channel(M6) has staked its claim in the marketplace as snowboarding’s most direct connection. Focusing power through a central connection that evenly distributes energy for added rebound and snap, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles. The addition of M6 means we’re using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with all Burton bindings as well as bindings from select competitors, making it a choice for any rider.

Responded on

Not stupid at all!

Non-est bindings will fit any board 3-hole, 4-hole, or the Burton channel.

EST bindings stand for "Extra Sensory Technology" - These bindings have no plastic underneath the tray... just nice EVA foam padding, gel in some cases, and a variety of other materials. EST IS BETTER because you optimize the flex and feel of a snowboard like never before. (there is no hard metal or plastic underneath your foot so your board flexes more naturally)

If you have not ridden a Burton channel board with EST binders than you are missing out! It will seriously make you a better rider and you will have more fun!

What size should I get for a size 11 shoe?

Responded on

Large. A medium will be too small, the large is the correct size.

Purples

Its really not hard to see if its EST Channel compatible. Any board will fit on est but the bindings made for est that will not work on other boards have the holes for screws on the outside edge of the binding and not under your foot

when it says these are for channel boards does that mean they wont work on any other board?

These bindings are not EST, they will fit on any board. You don't have to worry about that.

Fantastic Binding

I used to ride the older version and the difference is amazing! It is more flexy and absorbs the force of hard landings. The new toe strap fits perfectly onto your boot and holds it perfectly in its place, as well as the ankle strap. The gas pedal on these bindings looks rather interesting but didn't have a chance to test it out yet. I have been riding for about 5 years now and it's definitely something new to try :)

Are these bindings strictly freestyle or will they hold up when I go to the mountains?

Responded on

They will hold up anywhere you can take them. Just because the price is low it doesn't mean that they are cheaply made. They are a nice soft binding. The custom is badness.

great for the progressing rider

This is a super simple, softer binding which is great for a beginner but is still responsive enough that you can still use it after you progress into a better rider. I think this is a great point to start because it allows you to progress and decide what features you want to add on your next pair and what features you could live without.

Great Binder for Beginner

These are a solid binding for someone who is just getting into the game. There isn't anything overly special about these bindings. Just a simple binding with a mid-soft flex so its forgiving but still responsive. Allows you to get a feel while you progress so once you start to advance you know what features you want to add and which ones you can't live without.
