Burton Custom Snowboard - 2010

Every year Burton has the option of throwing out the most influential snowboard design of all time. They don't, thank God. The Custom has been around forever and it gets better every year.

  • Super Fly II Core gives you various different types of wood in specific areas of the core for optimized flex and response
  • A thinner base profile between the bindings allows a more natural flex and a playful feel
  • Slightly extended edges beneath the bindings for better grip on hardpack and a forgiving feel in the park
  • The Burton Channel gives you evenly distributed energy and infinite stance options
  • Lightning Bolts energy transfer strands under the bindings give the board instant energy transfer

Bottom Line: All-mountain since the dawn of (snowboard) time.

I agree. I wear a 11.5 boot and look for a wide or mid wide board. I don't ride a waist width less than 252mm or so and I prefer something between 255 and 260mm.

Na I would run the Custom Wide, http://www.dogfunk.com/burton-custom-snowboard-wide. Any boot size over a 10.5 should be on a wide board.

The Burton Custom, a team and industry favorite for years. This camber direction flex and twin shape is the go to board for tons of riders. It offers the response and forgiveness for all types of terrain.New Frost Bite edges help you grip and cut through all snow conditions. The sintered WFO base glides effortlessly along the snow, and we can not forget about the New Lighting Bolts, these carbon stringers are woven into the fiberglass for greater response and board feel. From Pipe/Park to the Backcountry, If you only by one board this year make it the Custom.

Just bought the Burton custom and am not sure if I should get it waxed before I take it out for the first time. Any suggestions would help!

Factory wax is legit, I would wax every 3-5 time for the best results. The custom has a nicer base that requires more attention.

It has a factory wax on it which is fine unless you're competing in a race haha. Maybe wax it every 7-10 times out depending on the snow, more in the spring slush and less when it's real cold.

Only ICS from now on. If you have disk bindings you can still run them with a two hole disk binding. Call 800-881-3138 and they will tell you what you need.
