Review

If what you want is a snowboard you can ride any day of the year with absolute confidence in any conditions, look no further than the Custom X. The construction of the board is absolutely top notch, and the ride is the best that I've ever had. I've ridden a variety of boards in the past, and none has come even close to the on-snow feeling that this board has. The snow chatter is almost non-existent, the edge hold on ice is almost unreal, I have yet to find the maximum stable speed (I have the 160cm length), and the flex and spring launch you through turns almost effortlessly. The only problems I've run into on this board are flatter slopes on powder days, but that is easily remedied by avoiding flatter slopes (really on all days, but powder days in particular). The board is also ideally suited to backcountry use because of its light weight. With approach skis or snowshoes, this thing will almost disappear when strapped to your back (unless there are heavy winds or any of the other dangers you may encounter when outside the realms of a resort).

This board rocks!!!

I was totally blown away by the responsiveness and feel of this board. I've always loved the Custom and have ridden many over the years, however this one is head and shoulders above any that I've ridden before. It tackled everything I hit from the top of the mountain down. I can't imagine anyone ever being disappointed by this board. Thanks.

demo

I rode this board as a demo and it was so-so. This board was very very stiff. and the shape of it was slalom like. The good things about this board is that it has great curving. Just keeps the edge. And amazing on powder. If you are thinking of buying it i think you should you should demo like i did if you don't believe me.

custom X so nice

This board will keep you on your toes. I have been riding for 10+ years. This board will throw me around if I’m not paying attention or on the finally run from a first chair to last day. It's got great snap and is quick edge to edge. Really fun board and great for all over the mountain use from that kink rail to that secrete pow stash.

Awesome snowboard

I used a Burton Custom for five years and I absolutely loved it. It had such a good feel on so many types of terrain. Even easy to go down moguls with it! :-) Finally last winter someone broke into our shed and stole it. Now I'm definately looking into buying another Custom.
