Burton Dream Jacket - Women's - 09/10 - 2009

No, you’re not seeing things. The Burton Women’s Dream Jacket really does look that good. This totally one-of-a-kind style helps you stand out on the mountain almost as much as that sweet backside 360 that you just stomped like nothing. Almost.

  • Dryride Durashell keeps out the moisture during nasty storm days
  • 100g Thermacore insulation helps you stay toasty on the coldest of days
  • Underarm vents let in the cool air when your insulation seems overkill
  • Wrapture lining uses zoning construction to give you moisture control in key places

Bottom Line: Look and feel like you do during R.E.M. sleep.

Hi Josiane,
There is a lengthy collar on this jacket to protect the back of your neck. As you noticed there is also a hood to help protect your head and neck.

Perfect Gift

By:
January 3, 2010

I got this jacket for my wife for x-mas and she loves it. Shes 5'8" and the arm length is perfect for her, also it is more than warm enough. The specs on this website say it does not (interface) or zip in to pants but that is not true it does come with the jacket-pant interface and works extremely well.

Mahogany Bliss

By:

I LOVED this jacket from the moment I unpacked it. It was exactly how I pictured it. The colour, the buttons, everything, but the size. I got a small, but I was kind of debating, if I should have gone with the XS instead. But I didn't want to deal with the whole exchanging business. So I kept the size small. But when I got the chance to break in the jacket itself. I found that the small was still a good size after all. Because it gives me enough room to move around and fit a nice sized more bulky hoodie under it.:)

I could have snowboard in this jacket all day and all night. I didn't even notice the cold. I wasn't at all affected by the cold wind. Only my face was affected.lol And for me to say that, is HUGE cause I get cold FAST. I was actually able to keep up with my husband when snowboarding. I thought that for sure I would have to go inside to warm up at least 2 times. NOPE, not once was I complaining about my center core being cold.

The only thing I would change about this jacket, is have the hood be detachable. Because I found that it would be in my way sometimes when wearing the jacket indoors. It would feel a bit on the bulky side.

Over all this is a GREAT jacket. It does live up to its hype and reviews. And I would definitely recommend this jacket to others.

I like to get this jacket as a gift. She's 5'5''

I like to get this jacket as a gift. She's 5'5'' 140 pounds. A bit heavy but has a tiny waist. Med or large?

I'm 5'6" and 130 lbs. I have a tiny waist but a large chest. I tried on a med and a large and they both fit, but I ended up going with the large just in case i wanted to layer a thicker hoodie under it.

agree with Cat that it fits close in the chest. I am a 36-38 and the small is snug with a couple base layers. However it is still comfortable and doesn't restrict movement.

I have a small in the jacket and im 5'5 120 lbs. If she carries the weight in her chest id size up i have a relatively small bust and the jacket wouldn't fit me if i were any bigger up top. just for reference i'm probably 33 bust and 25 waist and the jacket fits pretty close, i have room for a couple base layers and a thinner sweatshirt underneath it. other than that its a nice warm jacket and i've really liked it so far.

Great Fit - Be Careful with White!

By:
January 28, 2010

I ordered this jacket in white. I love the fit; it has room for layering but is still flattering, and I love the long sleeves. Unfortunately, the first day I wore it casually, a smudge appeared on the sleeve and I haven't been able to get it off. I probably have to have it dry cleaned. The material doesn't allow for too many mistakes with the white. If it gets dirty...it stays dirty. Also, the first day I wore it riding, the little leather label on the outside of the jacket ripped half way off, probably from carrying my board. Be careful. Also, I'm not sure I like the fact that the hood can't be removed. Had I bought the jacket in brown, I would probably be overall very happy with the jacket anyway.

Margartia time....

By:
December 4, 2009

I am 5'10" and I got the Margartia Green in large and I really like the fit. I tried to find reviews about this jacket and from what I could find it seemed that people suggested you stick to the sizing chart measurements and not your preconceived ideas about what size you are. I normally wear medium, but looking at the sizing chart I fell under a large and decided to take the chance. Only surprise was the colour--it was more vivid than the image, but I still really like it. I also like how the buttons have dark brown leather detailing (photo taken in sunlight).

It is a Dream Jacket!

By:
December 28, 2009

This jacket is the best product I've owned. I get cold easily and this thing keeps you warm. I wear a base layer with it and that's it. And having the zips underneath the arms is great in case it's a warmer day. Sizing is maybe a little small. So I'd get a size up from what you normally wear. Worth every penny!
