Description

You’ve never strapped into a binding like this before.

The Burton Women’s Escapade EST Snowboard Binding uses a Cored Ultrastrap Air ankle strap which combines minimalistic construction with extreme padding for a serious blend of comfort and performance. A just-on-the-stiff-side-of-medium flex gives you an extra helping of control when you’re charging hard. Of course this Burton binding also packs an EST base, which allows nearly limitless adjustments and has a healthy helping of under-foot padding to soften the chatter on hardpack days. Just make sure you get a board with the Channel binding system mount, or you’re not going anywhere.

she loves them

My girl loves this bindings. She is so comfortable in the stance she has set up for herself. She ride the LIPSTICK. Killing it all over the place. I was surprised when we got her large, but hey it worked!

Love the Escapades, but...

I love the Burton Escapade bindings. I have them on all of my snowboards. However, the last pair of Escapade EST bindings I purchased have the "holed" toe cap versus the "full" toe cap. (This photo shows the full toe cap.) I highly recommend the full toe cap because the holed toe cap slides up and down the toe of my boot. I never have this problem with my other Escapades with the full toe cap. I heard Burton provides superb customer service, so I'm going to check out a replacement with them.

Update: Burton does have excellent customer service and sent new toe straps without hesitation. Great job, Burton.

What's the difference in strength between these and men's bindings? Could, say 180lbs of man, ride these "women's specific" bindings safely and comfortably?

Responded on

Yes, a 180lb man weighs the same amount as a 180lb woman. The main difference between the men's and women's version of these bindings is the colorway and the sizing.

I rode these bindings with the Burton Supermodel yesterday at The Canyons in PC. I seriously can not believe how awesome the inchannel system is! I like to flair my feet a bit, and I have short legs for my height, so it helped a lot to be able to adjust those things down to a t.

These bindings are so easy to adjust! I rode many previous competitors bindings over the past years and seriously don't realize why. Okay so sure your a little bummed that burton only made these bindings to be compatible with their new channel boards but you will see why. No more wasting time moving that stupid disk under your foot to get the perfect setting, loosen 2 screws (vs 4) and the binding easily adjusts. You can also widen or narrow your stance with the channel that runs up and down the board. Burton has finally realized that not everyone should have the same stance!

I HAD to take a photo of how easy these straps are to adjust. Simply lift up on the screw and turn, no screwdriver needed to move a strap around. Let me stop blabbering and let you decide weather these bindings are for you.

Is there any significant difference between the 2008 and 2009 models?

Responded on

A few significant upgrade changes for this year:

- Cored out Ankle strap -- less weight and more comfy!
- Removable Superbed with B3 Gel Cushioning - more responsive!

Either way, both are amazing! EST is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a rather large boot its a size 8(DC Judge from a few years back). Previously I rode in the mens Mission med. Would the Escapade Mediums be too small?

Responded on

Yeah, they may be a lil' small... However, the EST trays are not as narrow as the Disk trays.

I would go Escapade Large just to be safe, and they should be perfect!
