Burton Feelgood ICS Snowboard - Women's - 09/10 - 2009

Burton improved its Women’s Feelgood ICS Snowboard for Hannah Teter, Molly Aguirre, and freestyle bad-asses like you. How? By adding a little lightning.

  • Lightning Bolts and Carbon I-Beam lines extend outward from the Channel to edge for seamless energy transfer and a boost in control, response, and grip
  • Mid-range flex (4 on Burton’s scale) with triax response fiberglass for jibbing and cruising
  • Pro tip tapers the thickness of the tip and tail to reduce swing weight and boost flex
  • Directional flex increases pop in tail and boosts nose resiliency in changing conditions
  • Superfly II Core with Dualzone EGD and negative profile adds strong, light wood in specific areas and places wood grain along toe and heel edges for strength
  • The Channel focuses power through a central spine that works with Burton’s 3D and EST bindings
  • Sintered n2o WFO base uses 50% recycled content

Bottom Line: Light it up.

I want to buy the Burton Feelgood ICS Snowboard 156cm 2010 but I want to make sure the width will be enough for me as I have a size 10.5 mens boot and large bindings.
I am 5'11 inches tall and weigh about 69 kgs. Can anyone tell me whether this board is going to be the right fit?

I am about to buy the feelgood and the escapade bindings...and

I am about to buy the feelgood and the escapade bindings...and am so stoked about getting a channel system board!! responsiveness and feel are supposed to be so amazing. anyway i think i just need some clarity on whoich one to get...the v-rocker seems to have a bit more flex than the normal feelgood? an the feelgood EST? I'm just getting a bit confused i think =) and i'm def getting the burton escapade bindings, but again wondering what i'll go for here exactly...so i understand the EST bindings will only work on Channel boards. But the traditional bindings can be mounted on our Channel boards with the use of our Retro Disc. so where is the difference between the reg escapade and the EST's, just a better feel? Because the regular ones at least i could use on a different board. So many questions, hope someone can help =) thanks!

Starting with the Feelgood. It is a great board. The flex pattern is almost the same between the camber version as well as the V-rocker version. The V-rocker is softer though. It depends on you, what time of ride do you prefer, the loose feel of reverse camber or the snap and responsiveness of camber. It it totally up to you on this.

Bindings, The EST version is by far superior. EST bindings flex 91% better than traditional bindings, this means better board feel, board flex and more fun. Yes, EST bindings only work on channel boards. If you ride channel then no need to worry. EST bindings are much much more superior than traditional bindings.

Get the EST Escapades for sure, then decide what board you want, the camber or V-rocker Feelgood

Rating for this product: 4

a major improvement over the decade

oh man, its been a decade since I bought my last feelgood? lets just say a lot of technology has changed. This board is so responsive and well constructed that no matter what you throw at it, it will take it. It is primarily an all mountain board (no reverse camber here) but it has enough flexibility that it handles tricks very easily. It ate up icy spots for lunch and didn't chatter at high speeds.

I would have to say the only thing that I did not enjoy with this board is that burton really limited their customers to only be able to use their EST bindings. But fortunately for me I have the bindings that are compatible.

I also took a detail shot of the graphics for you to see that those designers at burton know how to make a product look good (144) thanks for letting the wood shine through!

The 149 or even a 152 would work. Your size is in between the two. If you like it steep and deep, then consider the 152.

all mountain rider--want to try the parks can I use this in the parks? Also I switch -- can I do it with a directional tip , if so how difficult? OR do I go with a twin?

If your main focus is on all mountain riding, with the occasional trip through the park, this board will be great. This is a directional board, when you are riding switch you will be able to feel the difference in the flex pattern, but if shouldn't stop you from riding. It is a great board for the price. You will not be disappointed.

You know both boards would be fine for a beginner. I like the Feelgood Flying V it’s soft and forgiving but still has a sold edge hold when you engage the edge. Good luck and welcome to snowboarding.

yup, totally normal! On Higher End product, Burton sometimes does color block rotations on sidewalls, bases, etc... Gives it a lil' more authentic, trendy, artistic feel, and premium feel.

your all good!

Awesome, thanks Ryan! Yes i did get the Escapade est's so I'm super excited to see what happens when i hit the mountain. I'll def wax it after day one... I did notice that my edges are 2 different colors. One side is black and the other is white is that normal?? I cant remember if it is when I went up to the Burton Store in VT...

You don't NEED to, but I would suggest doing so. (or at least after a few days on hill)

The base is super durable and has wax built into it (wax-infused sintered base)

Wise choice, your stoked!

Hope your got some EST bindings to optimize the ride of that special board!
