I picked up one of these and am impressed so far. I haven't gotten a chance to use it yet, but it contours really nicely to the face is very comfortable. It's light enough that I wouldn't worry about overheating unless it was absolutely broiling. If you're concerned mostly about appearance then I wouldn't worry about it.

Face mask is pretty cool. I don't know if it's the warmest as it is just a lightweight mask, but it has kept my face warm 17 degree weather. The breathable flap is also real nice as well as the ear straps so the mask always stays on.
Can you take the beanie off and just wear the facemask?

It is the facemask only. The beanie is there for show only. These facemasks are legit, I wear one everyday I ride.
