What a snowboard photo pack should be.

Any camera pack can carry your camera, but the Burton Focus Pack also carries your snowboard, shovel, tripod, and all the other goodies you need for a successful day of shooting. Burton added a warming pocket to hold your batteries, so they don’t go dead due to the frigid winter temps, and the water-resistant sound pocket holds microphones for the video crew. You even get a laptop sleeve that you probably won’t use when you’re in the mountains, but it sure will be nice when you start shooting skateboarding in the summer.

Great Bag

Check out the picture posted, the internal adjustable compartments. These are grate for securing everything you have. Each section has velcro that attaches where you want it to. You can easily fit up to three DSL cases and multiple lenses. If you are serious about taking pictures, you need one of burton's photo series packs. This bag is amazing.

Well built, but not well thought out..

The Burton Focus Pack is a fine camera bag at an average price. The quality is there for sure, but some serious flaws in design exist as well. The bag would be best used for long distance travel rather than a walk-around bag. It's moderately padded, and contains enough pockets and storage bays to haul most of your gear and accessories.

The biggest drawback is in the limited accessibility of your equipment. Don't expect to wear this bag on the hill and pull your camera out quickly. The greatest short coming of this bag is in the pull out camera core, which has a two-sided zipper flap. Unfortunately, this means that in order to access your equipment you have to dig deep into the bag to find two small zippers on the far-side of the core. Try doing this with cold hands and in a hurry - not going to happen. Even accessing through the top of the bag is another lesson in futility. This method requires no less than three unzips in tight corridors.

On the positive side, the bag has great support, comfy straps, waist cinch, and small details to keep you happy. Just as long as you realize this bag is for travel rather than action.
