A new era is born.
The mad scientists at Burton set out to create the most responsive binding ever built, and the result of their experiments was the Genesis EST Snowboard Binding. It features the Kickback Hammock highback, Hammockstrap ankle strap, and The Hinge system to give you the most natural and direct connection to your board possible.
The Kickback Hammock highback uses a suspension system to cradle the back of your boot for immediate response on turns and reduced fatigue during long days. The EST baseplate minimizes the dead zone underfoot so your board flexes naturally and allows for infinite adjustability. It also features The Hinge, which allows the heelcup to move laterally for easier, more natural ollies and less fatigue.
Dual-density EVA in the AutoCANT footbed allows your boot to settle into a natural position that matches your stance, and it has B3 Gel to absorb shock from harsh landings. The Hammockstrap ankle strap is cored-out to keep it lightweight, and it has a nylon strip running down the center that gives you a direct connection to your board at all times. An over-the-toe design allows the Gettagrip Capstrap to lock down your boot securely without creating pressure points. New Double Take buckles have teeth on both sides to make clicking in faster and smoother, not to mention more secure.

What is the best binding a person can get (price is not an issue) that fits on the capita black snowboard of death. Im not a big park person. I have old burton cartels and i was quite happy with them! Is it true that the burton diode est and the genesis est dont go on any boards? Only fit on Burton boards?
Yes, the Burton bindings that say EST only work on Burton snowboards featuring the Channel. If you already have a board featuring the Channel, you can still buy regular binding, you just need an adapter.
Personally I prefer Ride bindings. I've used Burtons, Union and K2. All have their pluses and minuses. But Ride seem to be the best all around bindings I've used.
Currently using the Ride Revolt. The Rodeo and Capo I felt were to soft.
