Jib-inspired freedom meets razor-sharp response.

The Burton Genesis Re:Flex has turned into a test bed for Burton's newest binding tech, so it's no surprise that this year's Genesis is once again showing us what's possible. There's the Hammock Hi-Back, with a suspension cradle to give you precise heel-edge control and way more lateral freedom than you're used to. That means tweaked grabs and a loose, skatey style. The Re:Flex FullBED cushion system enables the binding to flex with your board, instead of creating a dead spot like traditional binding constructions. The all-new Hammockstrap heel straps are attention-getters, trading in the usual heavy padding in favor of a rubberized web that saves weight and without sacrificing any comfort. That makes them an ideal match for the Gettagrip Capstrap toe straps.

Wicked bindings

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are a little flexier than the '14 Customs. They are really light and yet you can take the board into powder and bomb down the mountain with em and they respond really well.

How do you 'open' the base plate cushion, and access the mounting system?

Responded on

There are two tabs on the foam baseplate area towards the heel cup. You have to pull up pretty hard for them to release.

I usually just use a screwdriver to pop the tabs in the back open
