Burton Gig Bag - 2010

Instead of hoping the conditions work in your favor and painfully deciding to bring just one board, bring both your jib and powder board with you when you pack your Burton Gig Bag. This fully padded snowboard bag holds your boards and has a tuning pocket where you can store your tuning gear and wax.

  • Skate conversion straps morph your normal bag into a wheelie bag with the help of your skateboard
  • Fully padded to help ensure your boards make it with you in one piece
  • Lockable, contoured zipper pulls fit TSA-approved locks
  • Double-cush, removable shoulder strap for easy and comfortable carry of your bag to and fro

Bottom Line: Time to throw it down on the hill.

Burton Gig Bag

By:
May 25, 2012

I had to have a padded bag to fly with my board. This one on sale was only $75, and they recommended size 156 for a 149 ladies board. It fits exactly as it should, with room for my boots. I could fit another deck if I wanted to. The bag also has a roomy external pocket. The shoulder strap is padded.

It is lined with a sort of metallic material, and it seems very durable and sturdy. I have not yet flown with it, but the seams look strong and the padding seems ample.

I am glad I chose this bag.

Hey i have a 156w, will this fit ok in a 156 gig bag with bindings and boots? as i've heard that the extra room if not needed can be annoying when traveling, plus you dont have any bigger in stock...

Great Bag

By:
March 28, 2012

I flew to Salt Lake City from New york with this bag for a week. I have a 152 skatebanana and I got this bag in 166. I was able to fit everything I needed for the week in this bag. the only other bag i flew with was a little carry on with some snacks. this bag has good padding and a comfotable strap. If you don't mind carrying your stuff on your shoulder (no wheels on the bag..) this bag is a great choice.

The 146 bag will fit you board, boots and bindings for sure. If you want to carry all your product as in outerwear, then upgrade to the 156

I've got a ride kink (156cm) and was wondering if this bag is decent to take on a plane (Adequately padded)? It's going from Lake Tahoe back to Australia so I don't want it to get damaged on the long trip home :/

It is padded, but it doesn't have wheels. The padding is good enough for travel for sure. I would recommend upgrading to the wheelie gig bag http://www.dogfunk.com/burton-wheelie-gig-bag or event eh board case. Super padded and a lot of room for everything you could bring. http://www.dogfunk.com/burton-wheelie-board-case

Pretty Tough

By:
November 2, 2011

My sister uses the board bag to lug her snowboard around. It is an excellent choice for anyone who travels with their board, doesn't exactly have insulation, but if you put a towel in there, the board will be fine.Really tough board sack.

I have a 155 Ride Machete. Would it be better to go with the 166, or is it safe to get the 156? It has to fit boots (8.5) and bindings, as well.

I just bought this bag and flew to park city .. by time i got to my room the threading had become undone and the inside cotton was exposed. Fortunately Dogfunk has a cool return policy so I'm sending it back.. but I would NOT get this bag.. it is NOT durable.

My board is 151 cm with flow bindings. Will I be able to fit

My board is 151 cm with flow bindings. Will I be able to fit my size 10 boots, helmet, goggles and whatever else in a 156 or 166? Also, is the bag significantly bigger or bulkier than the nonpadded burton sack? Thanks

The 156 will be plenty big if you have a 151... a 166 will give you a floppy noodle, not so cool! ...there will still be room for all your extras, no problem.

And, yes, this is significantly larger than the space sack!

Finally a bag...

By:
November 19, 2010

...that allows to take your skateboard with you! Plus it is big enough to fit in two snowboards, a pair of boots and all the necessary accessories :p! Not too heavy but I would add both shoulder straps as well...

There are different lengths offered. It depends on which one you buy on the length. What size board do you have? They offer a 146, 156, 166, 176. They make a board for every size board. These are awesome bags for sure.
