Description

A mitten for any condition.

The Burton Men’s Gore-Tex Mitten packs in as much moisture protection as you could ever need, and a serious helping of insulation. Burton also added a pre-curved fit to keep these mittens from feeling like all those other bulky boxing gloves.
  • Thermex fleece and Thermacore insulation for serious warmth
  • Sticky Icky Grip palm lets you handle tools like you never did with mittens on
  • Removable fleece liner for those days when you don’t need so much insulation
  • Brushed microfiber lining for better moisture control

once you gore-tex you never gore back

these things are awesome. this is the first pair of gore-tex gloves I've owned. i had no idea what i was missing until i got these. not once did my hands get wet like with my other gloves. comes with a pretty heavy liner for really cold days. most of the time i don't even need them. hand warmer pocket is useful and i usually use it as a vent cause these are mega warm. you can take these out on a slushy day and they'll come back totally dry. after getting these, i ditched my regular pair of gloves and picked up another pair of gore-tex gloves for little bit warmer days...bottom line, spend a little extra on gore-tex, totally worth it

Great gloves

Great gloves for the price. Kept my hands warm and even made them too hot sometimes. The inner gloves are awesome, but are not always needed. Brought them out to Colo and used them everyday....until I dropped one off the chairlift.

Perfect Mittens

Got these for Christmas and have taken them out 6 times in the Colorado snow. My hands are usually freezing while snowboarding or snow shoeing but these things are so warm that I've used them without the liners. I really can't believe how water proof and warm they are. I highly recommend them. Well worth it! If they can handle the Breckenridge wind, they can handle just about anything.

Does the heat pack pocket reach to the fingertips?? Or just the back of the hand?

Great present

My brother bought these for me (Christmas 2010) and they are awesome. I had scott mittens before, but these are outstanding. The liner gloves are warm, completely insulated shell. I couldn't be any happier.

Responded on

It comes with a fleece glove liner. See photo above.

Great Mitt!

I have now owned three pairs of the gore-tex mitten. These are the most comfortable by far because of the inside lined with a "micro fleece" kind of fabric. It's extremely soft and are fitted with a smaller zipper that the last two. For me they run a little big, but that is ok, since I will just wear the under gloves that come with the mitts. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice pair of mitts that will last a long time.

Are the liners gloves or mittens?

great gloves for the price.

i was about to get the more expensive leather one but im too lazy to oil it up after every use or before use. with most gloves the inside does get wet but besides that these gloves are comfortable and easy to take on/off. my hands are small too its hard to find that seems to fit perfectly but these fit great.

with the leather burton gore-tex mittens you have to oil them after every use?

Sick Gloves

I recommend these gloves for any snowboarders! these gloves are warm whether or not you have the inside liner. I have not had any ripping problems yet with the grabs though like the others below and the palm is not a true leather.

almost perfect

i loved everything about them until i went to put it over my cuff. they don't really open very wide to get over. and they don't want to stay over the jacket cuff after moving around alot..... their warm, dry, comfortable, and stylish. they just don't work great as an over the jacket mitt....... super bummed i have to return them. and theres nothing else that i can replace them with. off to another website for now. no offense backcountry. i still love ya!!

Burton Gore-Tex Mittens

Great product! I only buy Gore-Tex. Burton makes great mittens. I still have a seven year old pair of Burton Gore-Tex mittens that I use for back-up.

so far so good

My fingers have always been cold in gloves. No more with the Burton Gore-Tex Mitten. My first mitten and I could not be happier. Even found my hands getting hot with the liners.

how many liners come with the gloves ? one or two pair ?

one pair. The powerstretch liner is awesome. I use it every day, it is perfect for driving, running or riding in on warm spring days.

Zero Issues

I have had zero issues with these gloves unlike others have mentioned below. I use them on a regular basis. I ride about 50+days a year with them. It has held up fine. The waterproofing and warmth has been great for me especially at this price. I handle my snowboard without a problem. I have yet to see any damage on them. They are comparable to my Drop mittens that I have had for over 6-7 years.

As mlamkin82143651 below, there is a wipe for your goggles on the left mitt and nose wipes on each of the other thumbs. The wipe for your goggles might not be a rubber or silicone, but it works.

Get leather

The palm of these ripped on me the first day I had them. They are waterproof and warm but if you ride more than 40 days a season or do a lot of grabs, get something that has a leather palm. It'll hold up a whole lot longer than these. Great piece for someone just getting into the game though.

Spend an extra $20 and get leather palms

The first day I used these they already had a hole in the palm. The rubber material is not durable at all and gets caught easily in binders. Even with a hole in the palm, these stayed waterproof and warm. I only recommend these to the weekend warrior, not to anyone who rides 40+ days a year. Also don't recommend to anyone grabbing their edges frequently.

You get what you pay for

These are definitely waterproof and warm but the rubber palm is not durable at all. Second day I used these they got snagged in my binding and ripped a small hole, that got bigger...and bigger. I recommend these to the weekend warrior but not someone getting 60+ days a year on the snow. If you do a lot of grabs, get something with a leather palm.
