If you don dad's old flannel (from his axe-wielding days) when you shred, you're destined to attract frozen cling-ons with every pow turn and epic bail. If you don the Burton Men's Hackett Insulated Jacket, you'll have the kind of protection you need and the style you seek to shred all day. Featuring durable two-layer protection and a flannel-over-hoody look, this jacket has the look that won't disappoint; just make sure that your riding style doesn't, either, brah.

Bottom Line: Insulated, two-layer protection and with a flannel-over-hoody look.
I have had this jacket about a year now and its performance is outstanding. I love the sleeves covering my hands for some reason and the team is great for that. The hood can get pretty wet by the end of the day, but it had never soaked through to me. The jacket is made very well and I have had no problems with it. Keeps you dry and plenty warm. Great job Burton!
Is the hood a dark gray as shown in the picture? I purchased the same jacket in a dark jean material and when I received it I was greatly disappointed. It was so much lighter than the picture. The hood was supposed to look like this one however it was a light gray with no inside lining. Thanks!
I am a huge flannel fan. However a plain old flannel with a hood underneath dose not really cut it. I mean it's not 1990 anymore. This jacket is fully waterproof and I love the flip up collar shield for cold days on the lift. I was a bit skeptical of the hood but when I got this out of the box and saw the bonded fleece. My girlfriend walked by spilt some water and like magic the water just beaded off. Sold
Question: Is the hood a dark gray as shown in the picture? I purchased the same jacket in a dark jean material for my BF and when I received it I was greatly disappointed. It was so much lighter than the picture. The hood was supposed to look like this one however it was a light gray with no inside lining. Also it seems this jacket runs larger, considering getting a L instead of an XL. Thanks for your help!

Saw this jacket and thought it was crazy cool...however i was in the swiss alps recently and as soon as it started to snow, the powder just attached itself to the , which then froze to the actual material. I ended up looking like a snowman. Also one of the seams on the side ripped due to faulty stitching. However due to Dogfunks awesome return policy i was able to return the jacket for a full refund. props to the funk. Even though this jacket looks sick...do not let it fool you. Grab a jacket that will repel the snow, not attract it.
The hood is waterproof and windproof. This jacket and hood are DWR coated. So Grab your AX and get to work. Antifreeze Flannel for on the hill wrecking crew.

I purchased this jacket about a month ago. I use it for heavy snowshoeing. It keeps me warm as hell, keeps me dry, and is extreamly comfy. Ive booked about 90miles in it so far and it's been able to handle all weather types with ONLY a T-shirt underneath. If your debating on buying this just say YES!! It's worth it, I promise.
One downside: the hood is light gray, not dark gray.
I got this at my local Snowboard shop for 70 dollars on here its a rip off and the color on the hood in the picture is different then it is in real life but great jacket it was worth 70 bucks
Nice Jacket overall. The cuffs are snap only, and the snaps blow, so plan on your cuffs flapping around all day. Its warm enough, and waterproof enough, and the black and yellow colors are sweet. Not too flashy, actually look like an old flannel.
