Response and cushioning that's fit for a king.

The Burton Imperial Men's Snowboard Boot delivers the responsive flex and cushioned feel needed by serious freeride enthusiasts that crush anything standing in their way. Inspired by Burton's top-dog SLX, the Imperial has S4 shell panels that resist breakdown over the course of the season, allowing riders to hit the elusive 100-day mark without their boots suffering the consequences. This hard-charging boot uses Speed Zone lacing for a quick, efficient lacing solution that's great for dialing in your preferred tightness on the hill without freezing your fingers fumbling with traditional laces.

Inside the boot, you'll find a supremely comfortable Imprint 3 Liner with Focus Cuff Heel Hold system. This system provides awesome heel hold by hugging the sweet spot around your ankle, preventing dreaded heel lift when you're charging hard. Its Aegis antimicrobial coating fends off funky-smelling microbes. Additionally, you'll find a Level 2 Molded EVA footbed for added comfort and shock-absorption when you take natural hits or ride over rough, bumpy terrain.

The boot's industry-leading Vibram EcoStep sole not only resists wear and tear with its rugged design, but it tenaciously grips onto icy, hardpacked slopes with Rubber Ice Spikes embedded into the toe area. This makes the Imperial especially suited for freeriders walking up treacherous boot packs and no-fall zones where every step is crucial. Soaking up bumps and high-speed vibration, the boot's EST Optimized midsole uses B3 gel for maximum shock absorption. Add in Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil and you have a boot that won't leave your feet feeling numb, no matter how frigid the temps are outside.

Size up 1/2 size

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Didn't ride in them because the boot is too small. i typically wear a size US12 but the US13 is too big. Unfortunately, once you get to 12 they don't make this boot in half sizes. No doubt it's a solid boot but sending back solely on that. If you get this boot I'd recommend getting a 1/2 size larger than you'd normally wear. One last thing, if you have a narrow foot, your heel may not stay seated. For that I'd recommend the Salomon F-series, 3.0 or 4.0.

I wore US 10.5 sneakers, and US 10 Thirtytwo binary boa boots, can you give me some advice about which size I should buy for Burton Imperial boots? Because it's hard for me to find a store to try it on at this moment. I heard the size of imperial is a little bit smaller that I may need to but 10.5 or 11, is that true?

I personally went down a half size in my imperials last season. It's a little painful at first but worth it after a few days. Burton Imprint 1, 2, and 3 all pack out about a half of size. You may have been talking to someone with a high volume foot. In general, when going with burton boots, go down a half size on everything excepts the infinite ride liner.
