Burton Infidel Snowboard Binding - 09/10 - 2009

The park-specific Burton Infidel Snowboard Binding has been the dream of Keegan and Mikkel for a while now, and this season the dream becomes a reality. Winged highbacks give you extra power to press like never before and help get the board around on the last bit of your Cab 540.

  • Park-specific ASYM Superstrap’s reversible shape lets you pick power or mobility
  • Smooth Glide buckle technology helps you strap in and get out quickly
  • G3 Gel Heel and FullBED Cushioning for a plush feel
  • Dual-component baseplate uses softer materials underfoot for better lateral control

Bottom Line: Made for the park.

Infidel. This binding was the brain child of Keegan, He took the old winged bighbacks from the early 90's and ran them on new p1.1 baseplates. The wing allows him the leverage he needs to get those presses dialed. Thy are great for the park. The feel is really similar the a Burton Cartel.

I currently am riding a K2 WWW rocker with Mission Bindings.
How will these bindings differ on my setup?

Im no pro on bindings but I think everyone will agree that the mission bindings are crap compared to the Infidels. The mission bindings are Burtons entry level bindings. These will amaze you..

P.s, I just bought my Infidel EST bindings after 3 months of carefully examining each Burton binding

Crazy supportive!! The new winged hi-back is like nothing i've experienced before. Way better than the 90's winged hi-backs. These give me precision control in all presses. The dual park blend baseplate gives more control and response just like the P1.

Just fine. The bindings come will a disk that has a 4-hole configuration. It will mount up no problem. That would be a sick setup.

The "rail thing" that you're referring to is called the Integrated Channel System (ICS). For the new Burton ICS boards, you need EST bindings (or if desperate you can choose any binding and with the use of a retro disk to put them on an ICS board).

To answer your question, yes they can go on your traditional board. its only bindings with the "EST" in the name that can only be used with ICS boards.

Yes. This binding has a traditional disk. The disk will fit on any board mounting configuration. Throw these on your Forum or Capita and go slay it!!

How do you think this would work with a lib tech skate banana.

How do you think this would work with a lib tech skate banana. should i get this or the cartels with the naner. I like park more than i used to, but how would this be for pow. cuz i know that the naner kills in pow, but wasnt sure if this strictly excels in park

im sure they would work well becuse bananas are made for the park generally for the park and rails. but the banana also has a wild size where it can do whatever in the powder. infidels are park based, but theyll take you where ever you want to go. all in all they will do well.

I would get the infidel if your going to be mostly shredding the park. I would get the customs if your going to be doing more all mountain freestyle. Both bindings are amazing.

im thinking of buying a set of these bindings this week. I know they come in est and the regular style binding. my board is the regular style not the channel system so i would need the regular. but if i had to upgrade to a channel style board in the future. would the regular style infidels still work with the channel?

Man I have to EST Channel boards and they come with special disks incase you don't have EST bindings. I've been ridding them for the last 4 years. It works fine. I did just buy the Infidel EST today and it was wiered at first but after an hour or two I started smashing. Ill tell you what though I really see a difference on my spins. I was spinning way more then I ever have today. Two thumbs up though.

No, only est boards are compatible with est bindings, the board comes with a channel and no tapped holes. I rode est the past few days with infidels and can honestly say there is no significant difference. I would recomend Union Forces or some model of Union. They make only bindings and have mastered their craft.

I'm no expert on the matter...
but it would appear you can grab an EST disk thing for any binding out there...

Now as to how well it performs? and how much that disk thing costs is anyone's guess...

I'm in the same boat.
So if you get these, let me know..... brah.
