High response and high performance, brought to you by Red Wing.

The Burton Ion Leather snowboard boot is tailor made for aggressive, powerful riders. The Speed Zone lacing system allows you to independently adjust the fit at the top and bottom of your boot, to ensure that your feet stay put. The Seamless Power Spine backstay stiffens up the boot for high-energy heelside turns. Naturally, the Infinite Ride 4 liner is heat moldable, for a broken-in fit before you even get them out on the hill. The upper is built from genuine Red Wing leather, so it looks super classy, in addition to being hard wearing. Plus, it's got Shrinkage technology, to give you the smallest possible footprint and less toe overhang. Whether you get your kicks in an icy super-pipe, or charging down no-fall chutes, the Ion gives you the response you need to make your move.

  • Dual zone Speed Zone lacing system
  • Stiff flex
  • Power Up 3D molded tongue
  • Seamless Power Spine backstay
  • Shrinkage footprint reduction technology
  • Dual-density AutoCANT cushioning
  • Red Wing leather upper

80 days and these so called top of the line boots by Burton are falling apart just like any of the cheaper models Burton has on it's menu. I know this because last year I rode Rulers and got to day 115 and they started to fall apart, which I expected with a $200 boot.

I've been riding Burton kit for more then 20 years now and it's going to be my last year. I almost gave up on this company last year when my Custom X delaminated but decided to give them another chance, no more.

The leather has worn through simply by rubbing on the binding as in normal wear areas when they should have lasted more then 3/4 of a season. They are also wayyyyyyyy to stiff of a boot. You want a ski boot then these boots are for you, have fun walking up simple hills with these things, haha.

Other premature wear points are the pull loops on the front exterior lacing system, broke apart on day 80. The locking system at the top of the boot are also very annoying when your trying to get out of these over priced waste of cash. They unlock and lock in without reason. The sizing also runs big so if your an 11 get a 11.5.

If your a weekend warrior and only get maybe 10 days or less a year and love the rigid feeling of a hard boot then you should buy em.

If your a 120 plus a day local then save your cash and buy cheap boots, they last just as long and perform the same.

At the end of the day I'm the sucker for shelling out over 400 bucks for something that's worth only 200 at best which I expected to get two seasons out of.

Never again Burton, never again.

This is my FAVORITE boot in years. I like stiff cuz I ride the PNW. Be it blower pow or cruddy crud this boot gives me the control I look for- it is not sloppy and it is comfortable. I'm not a park rider, so maybe not for that demographic, however, if you are looking for a beautifully made leather SB boot, which is quite light in consideration, do yourself a favor and look no further.
A 1/4 size small i.e. I'm anywhere from an 8.5 to 9 (US) depending on manufacture and these packed out perfect!! Plus it's LEATHER and Red Wing too boot (pun intended). So, there you have it. Get it or get bent!
