Description

Deceptively tough.

Whether you’re raging on the mountain or making dramatic entrances at all the right places, you’re dressed for the occasion in the sophisticated Burton Women’s Ivy Jacket. This uptown-inspired jacket delivers the looks but won’t leave you in the lurch when you need serious protection from winter weather.

  • DryRide two-layer fabric with DWR coating and fully taped seams make it harder for snow to get in than it is to get a seat at a trendy restaurant
  • Thermacore insulation keeps unsightly shivering at bay
  • Removable powder skirt with jacket-to-pant interface lets you create a head-to-toe barrier against the snow
  • Zip collar and cuff gussets block out stray snow while looking oh-so-fly
  • Mesh-lined underarm zips help prevent unfashionably soggy underlayers
  • Sig Fit gives you room to layer without excessive bagginess, and sleeves are built longer to fit over gloves

NICE fitting

NICE fitting

but i would've definitely purchased a size bigger had i known that the hillbilly thick bum and hip pads were going to be so thick that i'd need a whole size bigger to fit over my waist. just snug and rides up but without the pads, fits nicely!

great jacket

This is my first time buying my jacket on line, so i was very hesitant about the fit and whether i would like it. But i used all the detail specs on the jacket and compared it to other jackets and it definitely won out! with it being an older style the price was reduced so made the jacket a great steal. It arrived and it was perfect... extremely warm and has a substantial feel to it... so many jackets seem so light and flimsy to me with a ridiculous price tag. I am 5'6 about 120lbs so i normally always get a small in my jackets. This jacket even as a small was slightly big on me... the sleeves are super long but they come with the hand-thumb hole covers which is nice. The jacket is a good length hitting me right below my hip. The neck is also perfect with the extra room for layering and the hood fits perfectly on the head, but lays attractively flat on my back when not in use. Other then the sleeves being super long i have zero complaints!

The Best!

I waited all season for this jacket to go on sale. I absolutely LOVE this jacket. It is so versatile. I also am a snowmobiler and can't wait to wear it next season. I was wearing my son's old Burton jacket size medium, it was just so "guy looking", straight and just big looking. I got the Ivy jacket in size large (runs very small) and very glad I did. I am 5' 3" and about 125 lbs. It is cut just right and the sleeves are long, which is very good for me. The only thing I haven't dialed in yet is the hood, it is a little awkward tightening the hood to not blow off. It has the best pockets and hidden storage areas. Did I say I love this jacket? We have had a very cold spring here in Michigan so I got to wear it. Keeps me toasty warm outside and very comfortable inside, not over heating at all. I hope this helps someone else in deciding about this jacket.

Ivy Jacket

I love my jacket! I have only gotten to ride in it once so far but it kept me warm and it was comfortable. I wish the season wasn't over so I could keep wearing it. Fit was good. the arms were nice and long and it went over my tush. Its a little snug over my tush but thats the only negitive

Between like and love

So I have worn the Burton Ivy Jacket several times. It DOES have wrist gaiters, which I love. I wore this jacket on a day that was -10 to 5 degrees, and I stayed as warm as could be expected! I have the brown jacket, and love the look. It fits nicely, not too tight but not too loose. I feel mobile and comfortable in it.

I'm not crazy about the side pockets, they are too high up and too small. But the chest pocket is great.

I bought a thinner neck gaiter (Smartwool) and now I love the collar too. It says that the collar is adjustable, haven't figured that out yet...

is this jacket's ziptech/powder skirt...

is this jacket's ziptech/powder skirt compatible with volcom's ziptech?

Responded on

I'm not sure. I have never tried that before. I would say no, but who knows. The jacket it worth buying though it is great.

Responded on

well idk but i might be able to help because i got a volcom jacket online and some north face snowpants and once my jacket comes in i will have 2 c if they r compatible! i would assume that even if its not compatible or made 2 b compatible that it would still work ok!

Will the hood fit over my RED Helmet?

Will the hood fit over my RED Helmet?

Responded on

Yes it will. Burton hoods are all made to fit over RED helmets.

Wondering if this jacket has wrist gaiters....

Wondering if this jacket has wrist gaiters. My old Burton jacket does, and I love them!

The review by Aja below said that the jacket has "cuff gussets" I think that could be wrist gaiters. Great jacket, if they it doesn't have them everything else will make up for it.

Love the Ivy Jacket!

I got this jacket and was a little skeptical at first as the fabric was so stiff (compared to my AK outerwear). However, after I wore it on the hill a couple times, the fabric really softened up and I felt like I could move better in this jacket. I love the styling of it - so many cute buttons and details, TONS of interior and exterior pockets, and has all the necessary features of a great snowboard jacket (detachable pow skirt, goggle pocket, adjustable hood, etc.), and it's super warm! I get so many compliments on the hill about this jacket and I'm really glad I ended up keeping it because it's everything I wanted in a jacket.

Love the Ivy Jacket!

This Jacket Has Everything!

This jacket is unlike anything else! It has an expandable collar to accommodate a scarf (seriously, so sick!) Inside is a plush satin lining combined with midweight insulation to crank heat around you core while allowing your arms to move freely. This jacket is Sig Fit, this means it has a super contoured body line and is long throughout the body of the jacket. In addition this jacket has mesh lined pit zips, fully taped seams to keep you nice and dry, a full time contour hood, zippered collar and cuff gussets, removable waist gaiter with jacket to pant interface... like I said this jacket has it all and its super cute!!!

Aja, you comment on all the Burton Jackets, are you getting paid to do so?

Until what degrees will this jacket keep you warm?

You'll be good into the single digits. It has a solid thermacore insulation (up to 100g in the body) with a 2 Layer material. As long as when its really cold you layer up with a bonded fleece, and some thermals, you should never get too cold.

Stay warm!
