I am looking at getting the Burton Joystick in a 159W and was wondering what bindings would do this board justice?

Misson's, Cartels or Malavita and make sure you go with an EST model. Enjoy the shred your gonna love this board.

would this board be to wide for a size 11 boot

Responded on

This should be just wide enough for the average size 11 boot, in general you want a waist of 255cm+ but it depends on how much boot overhang you want

what boards would you recommend for playing around in the park and doing butter tricks with? Is this the best board out there for it?

This is a pretty good choice - have a look at the Gnu Park Pickle as well and the DC MLF

Caution - will make you love every run

Love this board! This thing loves to turn, the only board I've ever ridden where I could get myself dizzy. Spent a whole day demo'ing one & a friend rides it regularly, so spent some time on it - can't comment on pow float personally, but a ton of fun around the mountain. Great pop off ANY hit you want to take, but like any board w/ full rocker, lose a bit of edge hold compared to a camber board. That said, it never feels out of control or like its washing out.
Basically, in multiple days riding this board, never failed to finish a run w/out a big smile on my face - and isn't that what it all comes down to?!?

Good in powder

This board was super fun in powder, it has great float! As soon as I took it on the groom or in chop it was hard to control. Also was squirrelly at high speeds.

Boioioioioing

My only beef with last year's Joystick was that the nose and tail were not as poppy as I would have liked. Well, that, and the fact that I snapped mine. But Burton's warranty came through with the 2011 model, and it's even better than last year's. By no means is this board stiff, but I can definitely tell they added a bit more carbon - I definitely notice a more lively feel when I load up the board, which is nice for avoiding the weird backseat landings that many rocker boards tend to dish out. It's still pretty forgiving and playful, though. Frostbite edges are legit...this thing grips on firm snow as well as any rocker board out there. Super-fun for riding everything from park to pow. This board will make you want to try new tricks all over the place.

Joystick

The Burton Joystick. Last year this board slayed it, everyone who rode it loved it. The board is fun, easy to ride, and technical. An all around amazing board.

It has a twin-like shape and directional flex. It has Carbon I-beam with in the Triax glass. A new upgrade from last year is the Jumper Cables Hi-Voltage. These are carbon stringers from the end of the channel to the contact points, to give the rider more snap out of the tip and tail.

See what all the hype is all about.
