Bottom Line: Ride in luxury with the Burton Lexa Bindings.
i almost got these but they were too large at my favorite shop, destination 1440 in berkeley. everyone was surprised there would be bindings in these patterns--it's so cool they're in camo! sadly most women are not cool enough to be into stuff like this so it doesn't make market sense but someday...
I got these bindings in a killer deal for the price they look awesome but preform even better. I get complements on them and I think the camo green throws people off especially when they hear burton lexa. I'm an 8.5 boot and I got Large and they fit really snug if you were a nine or 10 it might not fit your boot. The adjustments are not complicated and my feet seem to feel good even after riding all day so I'd say they're really comfy too.
Dogfunk.com knows that no one wants the used-car-salesman experience, so we decided to show you the other guys prices in an effort to keep your shopping experience as informed as possible. Got these for my girlfriend. She's a beginner and loves the bindings. They are soft enough for good control and strong enough for stability.High back helps her with stances and all the advance adjustments on the Lexa it gives her more comfort.
I depends on what size foot the rider using the board has. If the rider has a size woman's 6 or under in boot they will use a size small binding and then the binding board combination should be fine.
I just got Lexa's this season, I used Drake bindings before. Not sure if anyone else has had issues with the buckles freezing open or slipping when tightening these bindings down. I have ridden all over the US and Canada and it seems like no matter what the climate I ride in this happens. It can be really frustrating and it makes me question if they are going to stay tightened down sometimes.
Not sure if I will buy replacement straps/buckles for this season or just get new bindings all together.
Easy to adjust. Comfortable but yet stiff enough for solid response. The toe strap has a cut out that keeps it in place on the front-tip of the boot. The ratcheting mechanism feels sturdy and keeps things snug when you want, but releases easy too for getting on the lift or getting onto the apres.
hey, just looking at buying a new board and bindings and noticed that there is a difference in the connections to the bindings with the screws positioning (in a straight line, or multiple screw holes) just wanted to know how i choose which bingings for which board. ta
cyrus hits the nail on the head. to simplify further, if you have zero idea (in which case you might want to head over to your local brick & mortar...) buy bindings and boards of the same brand. they will always be compatible.
WRONG!!!!...ICS boards are compatible with ANY burton bindings...they come with plates that work for standard burton bindings, such as these...just no other companys...and almost all bindings fit with any board...except two cases; Burton ICS boards to non-burton bindings, and Burton EST bindings to non-ICS boards. hope that helps
The triangle alignment is for burton boards, while the straight line is from other companies. the bindings come with the circular plates to fit either board. Just insure that the straight line binding system your talking about is not ics (binding system on some burton boards) because then these bindings will not be able to mount on the board.
I love these bindings, all of my roomates have the same kind, except a year older. I like all the ways you can adjust them, but they take a while to shape to your boot and cap strap slips off your foot if you don't do it right, but overall very good and responsive steezy.
I love the cap toe bindings, no more toes falling asleep. These bindings are pretty awesome, they are a little on the stiff side, but I am pretty happy overall!!!
Rocked flows before and was hesitant to switch it up because of the convenience and comfort of the flows. This bindings are super easy and high performance. Really like the toe strap, it improves my riding and keeps me from sliding around in my boots.
These bindings are awesome. They give a lot of support, and completely eliminate chatter. I like the supportive footstrap and toestraps, and the highback is nice and padded so it doesn't cut into my leg at all. These bindings seem very responsive, and the black/polka dot color is really cute :)
I really love these bindings! They are really sharp looking on a black board. The only problem I had was a bit of difficulty getting the binding bottoms to line up exactly with the board holes. I got it sorted and they ride smooth!
My only complaint is that it's been really difficult to strap into my bindings b/c the straps are a bit stiff to move into nicely & easily into place. On the flip side, it's super easy to release the straps to get out of my bindings. Once I'm strapped into them, they're awesome. They look great and they've got good control.
I got these last year in a medium. I have a 6.5 boot size. I found the toe cap to be to big in last years model. the new toe cap this year allows the mediums to fit my foot. I could do smalls or mediums with my boot size. I choose medium so I can lend my board and bindings out to friends to try out or what not. there is a lot of adjustments you can do on these bindings, which is awesome. Tweak them around to fit perfect. They are soft but not too soft. I do feel that if I am riding a big stiff snowboard that I would want a stiffer binding. But for typical cruising, park riding and having fun these are great. Good dampening under the foot compared to other companies. Overall this is a great binding that has a great look and overall comfort.
