Hmmm...well I read elsewhere that their street jackets are not as large as their snowboard jackets, not true then? Im 5'9" and weigh in at 215lbs my chest measures about 42" tightly and 44" slightly loose...

I like my jackets to basically fit my frame but be just slightly loose so that when Im zipped up and sitting down or something it doesnt feel like Im in a sleeping bag

....so would a L or XL be best in your opinion?

Your chest is pretty big, So maybe the XL is your size. You can get both then send the wrong size back. Dogfunk has an amazing return policy.

Not the real deal

I tried taking a a cheaper route in getting an insulated mid layer style jacket. My advice would be to pony up and spend some extra cash. The material isnt great and really isnt that warm for the bulk.

Since this a casual street jacket is the sizing more traditional

Since this a casual street jacket is the sizing more traditional and slightly smaller then their "Sig Fit Snowboard Jackets"? The jacket appears to be pretty fitted....Also, do the sleaves get longer if you go up from a L to a XL?

The sizing is going to be normal sizing. I wear large in snow jackets and wear a large in this. I'm 6' and wear a Large.

Good looking jacket, disapointing fabric though...

So I debated buying this jacket for quite some time but I finally copped it in the Black as an XL. I weigh 205-210 lbs and Im about 5'9"....

Aesthetically, the jackets dope. It fits well and looks as it does in the photos. What I didnt expect however was how cheap and thin the nylon fabric was going to be. Thats the part that bums me out on this piece, cuz otherwise its a really ill jacket. Also the poly-fill that inside the jacket is super thin and not very tough feeling, Im almost afraid to wash the thing in fear of the filler getting balled up all weird and not feeling evenly distributed anymore as a result.

This jacket would really only be good on a cold spring day to maybe a moderately cold night...It doesn't appear to be waterproof at all (even though I know it wasn't listed as such in the product description)...still, most nylon jackets often wick away moisture and water fairly well due to the nature of the fabric but Im afraid this one would just get soaked....The jackets fabric almost feels identical to the taffeta lining that goes inside all of their upper end model jackets which as you probably know is super thin :(

Gave it 3 stars simply cuz they could of easily used a slightly more reinforced nylon for the outer shell at this price point. Fit is good to go though.

This is a streetwear piece, it is made to be run under a windbreaker or shell jacket. Use this as an insulator jacket.
