Description

Live the high life, at least on the mountain.

Get a champagne ride on a PBR budget with the Burton Women’s Lux Snowboard. Burton dialed back the camber a touch on the Lux for a well-appointed, relaxed ride and threw in a Pro-Tip tapered tip and tail for extra maneuverability. The Grip and Rip tune and direction flex enhance your control in any terrain. Lavish graphics by artists Sheila Isham will have you feeling ultra-posh every time you look down at your feet.

Burtun Lux 2010

This board is VERY soft. It has a light, surfy feeling and doesn't hold and edge all too well. Its great for a spring day when the snow is soft and slushy though. Rides well both directions and has an okay pop too it. I wouldn't recommend it for a girl that is a hard shredder.

LUX

The Burton Lux is a fabulous board for the Women who rides because she likes to have fun and doesn't really care about jumps and rails.

A great twin shape with a directional flex. The base is extruded, which is very durable and easy to repair if needed. The camber is really mellow almost a flat camber profile. You will love this deck, It is perfect for my Wife to ride with our kids.

I am an advanced/intermediate rider...I follow all my ski friends down the mogules and i take on blacks, but currently ride the Burton feelgood and the past few years i have been seriously struggling, getting stuck in snow, catching edge and bailing...and i am in need of a good new board. I need it to be all mountain, all conditions, that is forgiving but also has good carve ability and allows me to keep up with my super good snowboard friends. I am 5'9'', 165lbs, and was thinking about getting the Burton V-Lux in a 154. Is this a good board for what i am looking for and is that a good size?

Can't comment on the size you need, but I think you need to consider a more advanced board beyond the lux. I'm intermediate/advanced as well [I ride mostly blacks these days] and like to keep up with my boyfriend who likes to ride FAST. The lux is good for beginner/intermediates learning the blues or easy cruising, but once you start to up the ante and start bombing blues/blacks/moguls, the chatter and instability of the board really comes through. I'm looking into the Never Summer Infinity - stiffer, more stable at higher speeds, but flexi enough to hit bumps on the trail and be forgiving when I f--- up. If you want to keep up with your friends and not have to check your speed every 10 seconds because of chatter, don't get this board.
