I've got them 6 days last week in Argentina (Chapelco) where I could ride on pack and powder. They felt flex and confortably.
The EST channel is very easy to tune them.

I'm really stoked on getting these bindings but last time I got the exiles in L and they were a little too big for my dc park boot size 10.5. Should I get these in M or L?
Wooden Robots

If you are running the same boot, then get the mediums. normally size 10 is the cut off, but if you thought the large were too big, then get the medium.
What size is a good fit for a 10.5 boot?

Great new binding for Winter 2010. This binding is really comfortable, the new ASYM strap fit really well. Enough flex and stability to allow you to kill every part of the mountain. You will not be disappointed.

Get Medium as DC boots run a bit large... Also, if your feet grow your bindings will still be dialed!

are the malavita est better than the cartel est for park.

I can't answer that for you since we all ride a little differently and have different preferences, but here's a few things to consider:
The Cartels are going to cost you about $70 less.
The highback on the Cartels is enoooormous - some people don't like this.
The Cartel is going to be quite a bit stiffer.

The Malavita!!! Trust me, a park kids dream! (I know as its the binder I ride)
The straps alone are worth the extra money!!! sick strap that is wider on the outside than inside. Great nose presses but still plenty of room to tweak on the medial side.
SEND IT!

I have to agree with David on this one. Our styles differ.
My perfered choice is the Cartels though.
The highback is annoying, but creates alot of leverage for stopping.
They also cost a whole lot less. They are durable too.
Hope that helps.

malavitas are worth the extra bucks vs. the cartels. like ryan said, the straps alone are worth it! and the pads on the bottom...made my landings from jumps soft and cush~
but, i've heard nothing but good things about the cartels, too. if you want an all mtn binder, go with the cartels. but if you like the park...i'd get the malavitas. they're pretty sweet.
Comfy and Responsive!!!

I've got about 6 days this season on the Malavitas. So far, couldn't be happier. I don't like super soft bindings and wanted something I could ride all over the mtn on any given day. Malavita's are killing it so far. Enough flex tp press and butter, but enough support to lay down some turns on ultra hard pack (UT hasn't had a ton of snow yet). Buckles seems bomber and I'm pumped to be riding this binding for the rest of the season. Plus, the EST channel gives riders the ability to fine tune angles and widths and have the most responsive binding/board interface ever created.
Waiting for snow... Now here's the review

Just got these. They look great. I like the updated toe cap. Just from playing around with them, they seem to have a similar flex to Burton's P1's. I'll write more once the season starts. They look great though.
Had some days on these and they are great. They feel comfy and cush. The toe cap locks you down and back. Not sure if the ankle strap help with presses cause I ride the Burton Hero. I really like the bindings but I do think the Cartel EST's are a little more to my liking.
