Description

The bad life is the good life.

The Malavita Snowboard Binding sets the bar for plush, durable freestyle function at minimal weight. Asymmetrical highbacks and Superstraps help you get more leverage on your presses and turns than ever before, while the burly construction shrugs off impact. The FullBed baseplate cushioning and B3 Gel heelpad absorb impact when you overshoot landings or splatter-drop onto a cat-track in whiteout conditions.

how would they go for an all round binding?

Responded on

Great, the malavitas are a great flexible, comfortable binding. They are park binding but will hold up for all mountain riding for sure.

i have dc bdr and mainly hanging in the park, would you recommend these for the park?

Responded on

This bindings are some of the best park bindings I have ridden. Great flex and really comfortable. The heel has a great gel pad to take off edge of flat landings. You will not be disappointed.

Responded on

these are definetly designed to stomp the park. they are a meduim flex, so they are not as unforgiving as a stiffer binding. also check out rides contrabands if you are looking for a park binding. they offer a single strap and wedgie footbeds which are choice.

and is this good for park? if so why

Best Answer Responded on

These are great for the park. The strap, the foot bed and the toecap all help you get the tricks you want/need to get. Super comfortable, really soft and flexible, one of the best park bindings out there. The asym strap is comfortable. You will not be disappointed.

Responded on

est is ment for burtons channel boards, if you dont know what that is, then you probly dont have one, so dont buy the est! to find out more about the channel system, google "infinite channel system".

Responded on

EST only fits on Burton Channel boards, This binding will fit on any board out there.

how to you put on these bindings? i can seem to get the disk under the base pad?

Responded on

Look down into the binding, at the footbed. You'll see a cutout in the gel. That cutout is there for you to get your finger in and lift up the footbed. There is a hinge near the toe. This is how you access the mounting disks.

will these bindings work on a k2 jibpan?

La MALAVITA atacca!

This is a good binding.

OK, rather simple statement but if you think about it, determining if a binding is good or not should be right? I mean, you shouldn't even NOTICE them on your feet when they're working right and have been designed correctly.

They're light (around the 2 lb range give or take)

Look good (highback design is inspired by an old IBM computer)

Comfortable- ASYM straps which are customizable, fully adjustable, gel-filled and no pressure points. The full bed eliminates would be vibrations and B3 un-freezable gel in the heel area provides incomparable cushioning and keeps you riding longer , reducing overall pain.

I like these and cartels, but if you DON'T like the Cartel, you WILL like these as the tray is similar but straps and highback are way different an un-noticeable. Maybe just not as responsive as the Cartels, definitely a step above the Triads.

I also dig these because of their ease of set-up, some quick adjustments and tightening and you're good to go, it's painless. They're good and any hole-pattern of board and pretty much good for any style of rider- not park only or not freeride only.

I wore these with my Nitro Eero boots size 10 and I got a medium binding and it fit perfectly.

lastly, Ratchets- a huge factor with me, they're super secure and burly looking but do not adda ton of weight. I feel like I could hang from the ratchets, they're not popping out anytime soon.

Sick looking, and performing, binding!

The Malavita is built for those dedicated souls murdering handrails in the rain, scraping ice shavings all summer, and selling off possessions to get their next fix.

Like skeletor on steroids, this no-bullshit binding features an indestructible baseplate, that has a lifetime warranty, with FullBED EVA and B3 Gel cushioning along with a burly, tombstone hi-back.

The Asym Superstrap can be flipped, letting you choose between increased support or mobility. When push comes to shove, the Malavita punishes whatever’s in its way.

The feats of Strength color is sick! Blue is super-poppy! ...and when in doubt, bet black, it has a really cool matte look to it!

The baseplate on this binding is slightly softer than the cartel as its only a 11% compared to a 30% nylon composite.

Also, re-ground materials are used in the base plate and hi-back for you eco-conscience souls... Helps to reduce waste!

My favorite feaure in this bidning is the air padded hi-back that takes out the calf-bite... If you ride all day, you know what I'm talking about. ENJOY!
