Description

Don't get caught slippin'.

The Burton Medium Spike Mat isn't playing around when it comes to hooking up traction. This plastic mat with aluminum studs keeps you goggle-side-up when dismounting the chairlift, and makes quick work of one-footed cruises through the flats.

I'm a female with a size 7 boot size. Will this be too big for me?

Responded on

I.S,

It should work great size-wise. If it appear to be big, then you've got more surface area to plant your foot.

My main focus with stomp pads is the adhesive used rather than size. But I don't ride with a stomp pad.

Great Stick

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Burton stomp pad was extremely sticky right when it was put on the board. I have a size 11 boot and the medium was a perfect hold for my boot. The large seemed unnecessary.

what's the best way to place this stomp pad? Parallel with the bindings or with the board! I'm wondering what works best.. Thanks

Pretty much it just comes down to personal preference and whatever is going to work best for you. I personally would put it parallel to the bindings, that seems to make the most sense to me as your boot would have more contact with it that way.

love this stomp pad!

The stomp pad looks good and fits my boot perfectly (I have Burton boots)- It seems small but make sure you don't place it too close to your bindings.

stomp pad

This serves it's purpose and so far it's sticking unlike my previous one.

Burton Medium Spike Mat (Clear)

This is my favorite spike mat/stomp pad choice. I have used this for several boards because it is effective, a reasonable size, its "spikes" are not sharp unlike other choices, and the clear model allows the original snowboard graphics to show through.

Burton Medium Spike Mat

Absolutely love this! Really strong adhesion from stomp pad to board. Also, great grip from boot to pad. High enough middle piece that powder is not going to be a problem... also no sharp edges or pokes to catch on gear... not too small or too big, just enough to maintain control... overall highly recommend over anything that I have tried so far.

what is the dimensions of this mat? i want something to cover the entire base of my boot.

also, is this thing crystal clear? i want to preserve the design on the board, w/o obstructing view of it.

thanks.

It is just under 6 inches in length and 2.5 inches in width. Not crystal clear but translucent for sure.
