Description

Add Method to your madness.

The Burton Women’s Method Snowboard Jacket packs warmth around your core without inhibiting your ability to shred thanks to zonal construction and a streamlined shape. Wear this jacket when you want extra protection from the cold but you don't want to feel like you're burritoed in a bulky mess of padding.

The Method jacket provides a versatile helping of chilly weather protection. The waterproof breathable DryRide Durashell membrane holds off light rain and snow. Light Zonal Thinsulate synthetic insulation places more insulation in the body and less in the sleeves. The fixed hood is fully adjustable and helmet-compatible. The powder skirt can be removed on hardpack days and includes an interface that allows you to attach the jacket to compatible Burton pants. Zippered, mesh-lined underarm vents allow you to dump heat quickly so you don't burn up while you ride. For the final touch, Burton included a plethora of item-specific pockets to keep your essentials close at hand and keep you organized.

  • DryRide Durashell membrane (10K/5K), critical seams taped
  • Thinsulate synthetic insulation (100g body, 60g sleeves)
  • Sig fit
  • Zippered, mesh-lined underarm vents
  • Removable powder skirt with jacket interface
  • Fixed adjustable hood
  • Sound pocket, goggle pocket, flash pass pocket, ATM pocket, interior stash pocket

Warm, light, and tons of pockets!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I didn't have any issues with this jacket being too short. There is an inside belt that snaps together to keep the jacket in place at your hips. All day I kept finding new pockets it was great. The wrists are adjustable so that you can tighten them on the outside or inside of your gloves. The only con is that you can't tighten the hood up around your face and when you turn to look behind you, your face gets covered by the hood instead of turning with you.

warm and durable but short

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I had this jacket in a slightly older model and it was pretty warm and super waterproof. All the features on it are awesome, and the lining made it really easy to layer. And obviously it is decently cute. My only qualm with this jacket is that of pretty much all ladies snowboard jackets. The length! Is it so much to ask for snowboard brands to still give a flattering fit but add a little extra length? I'm not a fan of bending over to buckle in and flashing the mountain my grand canyon, or lifting my arms over my head and getting a nice blast of cold air. And ya I know powder skirt right? But it came unsnapped for me. Overall its warm and dry and a good jacket, but has the same fatal flaw as most ladies wear. And just for comparison I am 5'6
