Excellent Binding!!!

I was skeptical about riding a binding that was 5 of 10 on Burton's scale but these bindings really suprised me. Even though it has a relaxed feel I found them to still have a lot of control. Riding with a full footbed is heaven under my feet. The wide ankle strap and cap toe strap provides me with more support while reducing pressure point problems. I use them on an Arbor Abacus so whether I'm floating powder or cutting up hard pack these bindings provide a good balance all around.

Great bindings this is my third year using them and I still get compliments. The only thing for me was the toe strap fabric ripped but they are still great.

Are these light weight and flexible? and if I have K2 transit boots size 11 should I get mediums or Large?

Responded on

The mission bindings are lightweight and have a good flexible feel. I use the 2010 mission bindings on my 2010 burton hero and it's a great combo. I have a large size bindings and a size 13 boot, and there's still plenty of room so you should be fine with a medium.

Best Answer Responded on

Shred is correct, these are great and flexible but not too soft. The medium will be too small, run the large.

any problems with the high backs? they look like there isnt much holding them together right above the heel cup

Responded on

No, no problems at all. Burton has been using this high back for years. The living hinge holds up great.

The real deal

Stiff, easy to adjust and secure to the board, they allow me to just go out and ride. 'Dark Ages' black is subtle, solid, and the toe strap is a nice step up from my Customs. Exactly what I wanted.

Go with the mediums. There is a size chart for these bindings just above the add to cart button. I have missions on my powder board. they are still going after five seasons. hope this helps.

Great bindings but tend to come loose from board

Bought these for a non-Burton board. Flexible yet still very supportive, and rachets are a breeze to get in and out of. Great bindings for aggressive riding except:

My only complaint is the bindings tend to loosen from the board after every few days of use, I've missed out on more than a few pow turns trying to find a screwdriver. A pocket tool is absolutely necessary with these bindings for mid run tightening.

White Knight

Switched my old Mission with this one, great choice if you don't have a lot of money, but i would recommend to save up some extra bucks and buy a Cartel, because the gettagrip capstrap was the thing i was looking for

Responded on

You can also buy the gettagrip capstrap online separately at burton.com if that is the only thing that you are looking for. Just search it in binding accessaries and it will come right up.

I wear a size 10, possibly might get a 10.5 boot this year. Should i go with the large or medium bindings?

Responded on

You should go with the medium bindings. Most boots are built on a size smaller platform, so it is a size smaller anyway. The medium bindings will fit boots 8-10, the 10.5 is the cut off between a medium and a large. If you new boots are bulky then go with the large, but I think the mediums will be great.

Responded on

Sizing will really depend on what brand and model boot you have. I have a DC allegence size 11 and use a Large in the missions. best thing to do is take a boot and test fit them at a local store, or order both sizes from dogfunk and return the one that doesn't fit.

how much does this binding weigh? is it heavy or light in binding standerds?

Responded on

It's pretty light. Not a heavy binding at all. Over the years burton bindings have been getting lighter and lighter. The missions are awesome bindings at a great price.
