Description

Proven performance for up-and-coming rippers.

As Burton's most popular boot for beginner-to-intermediate riders, the Burton Moto Men's Snowboard Boot delivers cushy comfort, lightweight performance, and convenient lacing within an affordable package. Featuring Burton's Shrinkage FootPrint Reduction, the Moto has a regular fit on the inside, yet it's slimmed-down on the outside by one foot size for less toe drag.

Using Burton's Speed Zone Lacing, the Moto is quickly and easily tightened on the slopes. This quick, convenient lacing solution allows you to independently tighten the upper and lower zones in seconds without freezing your fingers off. Its Level 1 liner is comfy straight from the box and can be heat molded for a truly custom fit. Additionally,  heat-trapping Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil brings toasty warmth through frigid cold snaps, and the DynoLite sole offers lightweight cushioning and a rugged traction pattern for plenty of grip on icy slopes.

  • Shrinkage FootPrint Reduction
  • Speed Zone Lacing System
  • Thermo-moldable Level 1 liner
  • Integrated liner lacing with lace lock
  • Level 1 Molded EVA footbed

Size up - but superior fit!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I tried on Burton invaders (14/15) and i could fit size 11 (tight but usable). Then I decided to go with these. Order 11.5 at first, ended with size 12. If they had 12.5 I would of probably gone there. However, first all day trip done, I'm very happy I didn't. Size 12 works even if your big toes touch the front of the boot. I never had any soreness and i think the boot expanded a little making them even more comfortable! Very snug fitting boot! No worries about sizing up and getting the 'pocket' of your feet swimming around inside.

Awesome Boots

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I really like the lacing system. So easy to put on and take off. Easy to get the boots really tight. I like that the laces are out of the way as compared to traditional lacing systems where the laces hang and come untied all day.

I would size up. My street shoes are 10.5 and I got a size 11 and they fit pretty snug.

I agree, great boots! They run small for sure. If you wear 11.5 sneakers you will definitely need size 12 as I did. I could probably use a 12.5 (which they don't offer) as it seemed my left big toe was going to be touching and would eventually be annoyed. But it wasn't the case as I just did my first trip with them and they really were very very comfortable all day. They really have a snug feeling at the heal and even down the sides and top to bottom of your foot. Normally larger boots get too wide/tall for the pocket of my feet, but this was truly a great fit! Highly recommend!

What year is this boot?

Hey Col6159284,

These boots are the 2014/2015 model (the most recent model).

Size smaller than what I normally wear

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The size of the boots is a whole size smaller than what I normally wear. I normally wear between a 12 1/2 and 13 for normal gym shoes and dress shoes so I bought a size 13 thinking it would be enough, as it normally is with everything else I wear. I was wrong, I would easily need a size 14 or even 15 for these boots, so be forewarned if you are thinking about making a purchase. I also did not like the lacing system at all, as the outside laces are extremely thin and no doubt will eventually snap when trying to pull the boot tight. There is also these pockets on the side that you are supposed to put the ends of the lace in, but this just leaves a large amount of extra lace dangling around outside of the boot. I will be looking for a standard laced boot and I'm not sure if its all Burton Boots, but if it is, I will be going a whole size up at least.
