Developed at Craig's (in honor of snowboarding pioneer Craig Kelly), Burton's in-house prototype facility, there certainly is a shroud surrounding the Mystery Snowboard. Only a handful of people know the secrets to unlocking the Mystery, but one thing is certain, and that is it's the lightest snowboard in the world. Utilizing a precision milled wood core and a robotic-built carbon fiber layup—among other, more secretive technologies—the Mystery is not only ultra-light, but super-snappy, playful, strong, fast, and, well, you get the idea.

• Mystery Construction uses a combination of Mystery Glass carbon fiber matrix and other top-secret technologies to create the lightest board ever
• Flying V hybrid profile offers rocker float and playfulness, while a touch of camber under the feet adds edge control, added pop, and power through turns
• Stainless-steel Frostbite edges extend slightly beneath your bindings to provide increased edge-hold in icy conditions
• Ultrafly Core uses precision milling to revolutionize the level of performance and strength-to-weight attainable with a wood core
• Directional shape utilizes a slightly longer nose to improve control and float in all conditions
• Methlon base infuses Teflon into a sintered material for a low-maintenance, ridiculously fast board
• Infinite Ride consists of Burton overbuilding the board, and then breaking it in at the factory, for a ride that stays crisp and poppy season after season
• Pro-Tip uses a thinner tip and tail for reduced swing weight
