Good but...

Pretty good boots, light and mostly comfortable, though they seem to be breaking down way too soon (maybe this is why they have been discontinued).

One of my biggest complaints (with this boot and many others) is the inner laces dig into the top of my foot/ankle and cause a lot of pain. Burton seems to have addressed this in newer models with the rad pad.

The great features of these live on in the Ambush line.

NO BUENO!!

I tried everything to make these boots comfortable. The bottom line is they are way too soft to do long runs in. I would only recommend them for lapping a small park. Also the lacing system is a joke compared to other brands. I worked in Vail last season and could only tolerate them for a month. Switched to solomons and never looked back.

Ok....

Boots have been great, comfy for riding or stompin a big landing. However the speed laces system had a blow out and I now have to get new ones. These were less then a year old but that should not have happened. Seems like a weak point to me... and easily fixable. I am now going to try out the Nitro TLS Team boots. they look a little better on the construction.

Never again... I got another pair of these boots. Super comfy and reat for big jumps but the speed laces top plastic piece that hold them tight busted. I may have just gotten 2 pairs that suk but that is enought for me not to buy anymore Burton boot EVER! Just bought Salomon F20 and love them so far. Much smaller foot print the the ozones and that means alot for someone that wears a size 15!

I am a newbie and went out to look for snowboard boots the other night. I informed the salesperson that I was not going to be a park rider due to my age etc. He said that the uses the Ozone's and recommended them to me (I tried on a Salomon too). With that being said, will these boots be good for me or should I take them back to get a firmer boot? From reading and looking at the flex rating they appear to be Park boots. Since I am new will it really matter if I got firmer boots? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The ozone is a higher end boot for sure, but it will work. Intro snowboard boots re typically soft flexing which is really good. It allows for great mobility and eases someone into a boot. I would not go with a stiff but if your just learning.

Boots are all about fit and comfort. If they foot good and are comfortable, the ozone will make a perfect boot.

Different riders have different preferences on flex, you want the boots to be comfortable and fit properly, thats the most important thing, if you tried them on and liked the way they felt they are good for you

Great Boots!

This is my first and only pair of snowboard boots. So I do not really have anything to compare these to. However, the boots are very light compared to others in the stores. They are also extremely comfortable.

Flex and support stays at about the same from 08-09 to 09-10: Burton says a 4 (medium to soft) flex...

Some great changes for 2010 came in:

- adjusting the Flex Cuff heel hold system (it holds your heel down just as well, but is more comfortable than the previous yeas)

- It got a new backstay (spine)

- a new 3D molded Soft Edge tongue (just more comfy)

- lastly a new Park 2 Molded 3-layer EVA footbed with Support shanks for your arches.

Worth the money for the new one for sure, but the flex remains about the same.
