Description

Let it snow.

Powder hound, park rat, or corduroy king—whatever kind of rider you are, you can count on staying warm and dry all season in the Burton Men's Poacher Insulated Pant. It's packed with features to keep you prepared for whatever you might encounter on the slopes, and it has easy, casual style sure to satisfy any shredder.

The DryRide DuraShell twill fabric is 10K-rated to keep you dry in most conditions and it's tough so it doesn't rip when you take a spill in the park or get snagged on a branch while surfing through the trees. 40g Thinsulate insulation adds extra warmth to keep your knees from knocking in the cold and is low-profile to prevent it from looking puffy. When the weather starts to change in the spring, open up the zippered inseam vents to get some cool air flowing. The Sig fit is relaxed to give you room to move around in a layer up underneath, and articulated knees allow for more natural movement so you don't feel restricted when you're tweaking out methods.

  • DryRide DuraShell 2L 10K-rated fabric
  • 40g Thinsulate insulation
  • Fully taped seams
  • Taffeta lining
  • Sig fit
  • Anti-scuff cuffs
  • Ghetto slits
  • Cuff elevators

Snowproof, warm, and long lasting!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Burton pioneered the snowboarding industry and knows their stuff about gear. I got these pants at a reasonable price, they come with just the right amount of pockets, wicked good lining, adjustable waistband, and double buttoned waistline. They kept me warm riding in the middle of a snowstorm, kept my legs dry, and were plush and comfortable. A+

EPIC SNOW PANTS!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These pants are great - bought them for the occasional ski trip, but also for dealing with Chicago winter weather. I've worn them to walk the dog in the snow when it was -50, to shovel the driveway in the same temps, and for sledding. I was pleased that they stood up to -50F temps with only a merino base layer pant underneath. I work in an inside/outside job, so when it gets really cold I wear these over my uniform and the pockets serve well to keep my work stuff, wallet and keys dry. They don't look like puffy insulated pants and were good to go to lunch or store. The small fit good (30-31 inch waist) and the length with boots was just long enough (I'm 5'10" and normally wear 30 inch length in jeans). They have enough room for layering and I can wear jeans underneath. The fit is loose, but not crazy loose - who wants skinny snow pants anyway? If you tend to run warm or need them for over 30F, then these may be too warm for you since they are insulated. Also, I got them on black Friday special for $119 with free and fast shipping. Best snow pants I have ever owned!

how do these fit through the thighs? I have a hard time finding snowboard pants to fit the way I want them to. If they are too tight through the legs then it just aggravates me and I feel all restricted trying to ride. Anyone got any feedback?

Landon,
The Burton Poacher Pant is a good option for you if you typically have trouble with tightness in the thigh. The Poacher is a SIG fit in the Burton line (their loosest option), which is very relaxed and baggy. You can check out the breakdown on Burton's fit options here:

Great Pantalones

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These epic pants are epically epic. Burton really went out of their way to epicify the epicness of these epic snowboarding pants. They fit true to size which is also epic. They also are epically priced and the pockets aren't multiple zipped and placed weird like a 1985 Michael Jackson jacket. I highly recommend these epic pants and be sure, if you're new to snowboarding, to use the word "epic" any chance you get while you're out there.

these pants are the bomb! literally have worn them twice and im in love, they're a little baggy to provide room, the allow you to stay warm, and there is tons of pocket space, I wasn't sure about them at first but lemme tell you, they're worth every penny
