Great Jacket, Good Size, Simple pockets

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm 180lbs, 175cm. Bought a large, the jacket runs long enough to cover the croutch/buttox region, to give you an idea of the length.

Took it to Japan last year in some cold conditions. I was able to wear it with a thermal, shirt & hoody and was quite warm. I bought the large so I had a bit of room to layer. There's a band on the inside of the cuff for your thumb for when your wearing it about town, which is ok. Hopefully the photo helps with the sizing. I really like the jacket, has room for improvement though so thats why its a 4, keeps me warm and doesn't feel bulky.

Great Jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

Be carefull runs Big! I should have tried M instead of L. Usually I wear size L but this jacket is really big.

Great Jacket!!

Keeps the snow out when you use it right, it just felt right honestly. Great fit, kept me warm, the only thing it doesn't do is keep me upright on my board!

Sweet Jacket.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have really enjoyed this jacket. Through the past, I have had similar products but this one has topped them all. Really comfortable and keeps me warm through the colder temperatures. It runs a little bigger but allows you to comfortably add layers which is a definite plus compared to most athletic fit jackets.

Love this jacket

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

I got this jacket a few years ago and it is pretty awesome. It is very comfortable and keeps you warm. I usually just wear a long sleeve base layer and a tshirt under this and it keeps me warm enough down to about 15-20. Below that I add a pull over and that works for even the coldest of days.

It fits a little bigger than most jackets but it is not so bad that it will cause problems. There is enough room to comfortably add layers.

The media pocket is awesome for listening to your music on the slopes. You can keep the cord out of the way under the jacket, but still access your player from the outside without having to unzip your jacket

The powder skirt is fine on its own to keep the wind and snow from going up your back.

All around this jacket is perfect for a day on the slopes.

shred the pow

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This jacket runs a little big, im 5'7" and 160 pounds and the small is pretty big on me and a little long but i like my stuff on the baggy side. I'd recommend this jacket for someone who's taller and needs a little bit more length. Very happy with this buy, keeps be warm and dry!

Responded on

Hey there!

The Poacher is one of Burton's "Sig Fit" jackets, meaning that it is roomy with space for layers without being excessively baggy. It's not as athletic as some of their other coats, but your knees shouldn't be touching the jacket, either.

Hope that helps!
