Not for cold conditions
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Though I have a lot of faith in Burton and Gore-Tex products, I would not recommend these mittens for cold-weather snowboarding. I tried them out for a 10-minute walk outside on a 20-degree night, and found my hands getting cold and the inside surface of the mitt liner feeling chilly.
Burton's tag has the additional information, "Rides Best In: Cooler Conditions", as opposed to the un-checked options "Warmer Conditions" and "Ice Cold Conditions".
The cuff is quite short but reaches under your jacket sleeve cuff, and has a Velcro closure you can use to make it snug. It also has snap tabs that might be for attaching them to the inside of your sleeve, and the clips for storing the pair together.
My hands are 7 inches long and the Men's size L is about right, with a roomy fit.
