Description

Death from above.

Burton designed the Raptor Snowboard Boot for serious all-mountain aggression. A medium flex gives this boot the credentials to slay it anywhere the lift takes you, and Sweet Spot Speed Zone lacing lets you set up the boot exactly how you need it.

  • Shrinkage footprint reduction technology for a smaller profile and better board feel
  • Sweet Spot Speed Zone lacing allows you to customize your fit for a stiff, tight fit where you want it and flex where you don't
  • Imprint 3 thermo-moldable liner for a custom fit
  • Red Pad lace bite protection lets you lase the boot tightly without pain
  • EST optimized EVA midsole with gel heel insert for shock absorption
  • Snowproof internal gusset keeps your foot dry and happy, even on deep days
  • EVA footbed with Aegis anti-microbial coating to reduce odor

Comfort is Key!

comfort will always be the first thing to come to mind when i consider a burton product. combined with durability and nonsense lacing systems it a clear choice for pro's and newbs alike, i would reccomend this boot for spring riding when its hot, the wide top strap provides instant freedom from the confines. a low cut boot grants a rider with more mobility within a jib park or spring tree run. all in all this boot performed well in aspects other than backcountry where the boot is too soft to stand up to the abuse...

Little support

Could be a good park boot, but taking turns all over the mountain will wear your legs out quick. The Velcro across the toe box does virtually nothing, considering the stiffness of the outer shell. Overall, this boot just doesn't provide much support. I love the small footprint of Burton boots, and the aesthetics but they just don't perform well.

I have a high arch and a wide foot . The Hail boot is painful for me. Would the Raptor be a better fit ?

Hi Drew, I would look into the Rampant for traditional lacing with lower lace width of 70mm. What year Hails are you running?

I just outgrew my old DC judge boots (I think they were 2009, the black with bright blue detailing), how does the raptors flex and comfort compare to the 2009 judges?

This boot looks like exactly what i want, a responsive boot you can rip powder in w/ out sacrificing flex for grabs and jibs slushy park days. My only concern is that the velcro and/or lacing system will give out or dampen over time, creating less support, esspecially in the upper ankle.
Is this boot good for the weekend warrior Chad or the 100+ day a year rider?

This boot is awesome! Great for your everyday rider looking for performance and comfort out of their boot.
