Burton Ruler Snowboard Boot - Men's - 2010

A prominent fixture in Burton's boot line for over a decade, the Ruler Snowboard Boot continues to deliver go-anywhere performance at a price that won't sabotage your season-pass fund. Speed Zone lacing offers pull-and-go convenience with the custom fit of two separate lacing zones, and the heat-moldable Imprint 2 Liner conforms to your feet for seasons of comfort. As an added bonus, Shrinkage technology reduces your footprint by a full size for a more streamlined binding fit.

Bottom Line: Royal performance at a peasant's price.

Boyfriend is happy!

By:
October 20, 2011

I picked these out for my boyfriend based on reviews here, REI and elsewhere. They felt a little tight to him at first, (why don't they make half sizes for dudes with big feet?!) but now he's worn them a bit he says they feel pretty good. He used to have a problem with his toes tingling and cramping but it's much better now!

I am using US7 burton progression. how is this boots compared

I am using US7 burton progression. how is this boots compared to that of mine?? i actually bought ride anthem boa US7 too but being few soft flex it actually hurts my feet and i tried two different binding too and it hurt on both (07 super titan and an old salomon that I can't remember the brand). It's very hard to find a good fit too. I usually wear 24cm, us6 but not many boots come in that size though i have no problem with the rental burton progression except it feels very bulky

The boot will be built around a similar last to the progression boot. however, the ruler will be much, much lighter weight as its made out of better materials, will be a medium flexing boot, and really responsive.

The progression boots are made for rental applications so they are made to be ridden by a million different people and take a beating. They are built bulky on purpose.

You will not be disappointed with the flex or feel of the ruler. STOKED!

The Ruler has come a long way

August 17, 2010

I had some Ruler's way back in the day, like one of the first years they made them- didn't like 'em, even for back then. Today it is an entirely different boot good enough for a seasoned rider and perfect for the entry-level to intermediate rider learning new tricks everyday. Is it the best boot out there? No. Is it laden with high end features? No. But it's sicker than your average (RIP biggie smalls)boot at this price. Really light- size 10.5 weighed 2.10 lbs. on a digital scale. They're super comfortable and easy to get on and off. Run absolutely true to size. Dishwashers, students and couch surfers, this is your boot.

I have Burton Moto's size 13's. From what I understand

I have Burton Moto's size 13's. From what I understand from the description of these boots, they have a shrinkage technology? Does this mean I will be able to rock 12's. My normal shoe size is a 12. Thanks!

No, if your normal shoe size is a 12 then run the 12. Shrinkage tech means the imprint of the sole is a size smaller imprint.
