Burton Sapphire Snowboard Boot - Women's - 2010

A day on the mountain doesn’t have to mean hardship duty for your feet, at least not when you can lace them into the Burton Women’s Sapphire Snowboard Boots. Burton’s most cushioned boot includes the creature-comfort-laden Flex 2 liner, a Stay Puft tongue and backstay, and a huge 270 Airbag in the midsole. So it’s kind of like strapping high-performance pillows to your feet—doesn’t that sound nice?

  • Articulating cuff allows upper and lower zones of the boot to flex independently so as to create fluid forward motion and to maximize heel hold
  • Heat-moldable Flex 2 liner includes the Plush Cuff that holds your calf snugly and comfortably in a super-soft fur lining
  • The Flex 2 liner’s Rad Pad keeps your laces from digging in (even when you have them cranked down), and its Ultra-Cush Park 2 footbed provides extra cushioning
  • Therm-ic liners are pre-wired for heat; just plug in a battery pack (sold separately), and kiss cold feet goodbye
  • Aegis treatment of the liner keeps perma-stink at bay

Bottom Line: No need for foot massages at the end of the day (though it would still be nice).

Sapphires are great for a narrow foot!

By:
April 7, 2011

I got last seasons Burton Sapphire boot with the red poppy deisgn. They have been great I work and ride in them everyday. I have a narrow foot so was not able to get Thirty two boots tight enough. I bought a size 7 and I am usually a size 7 in most shoes. They were super tight for the first week but they broke in just nicely. I think i might buy this seasons so that i have 2 pairs!

I'm looking at buying boots. Are the sizes a true size? I generally wear a size 7 1/2. I have a wide foot too. Any recommendations? Cheers!

Boots are true to size. They should fit like Cinderela's glass slipper. These boots are great out of the box and at that price you may want more than one color.

I hate burton

By:

i hated them! The tread wore off way to quick, being a lifty your in your boots alot! I burst the air bubbles a month into it, maybe I ride to hard. Because of that, my feet were always soakin wet and had to ride with plastic over my feet. I broke the inside string pull only after a few months impossible to tie back and fix. I ride a 9 but decided to get a 8.5 worst idea of my life, the toe murder was insane Burton was assholes about it too. Last burton product I will ever buy

Great boots

By:
February 15, 2011

I love these boots! I only wore them around the house the night before i tested them on the slopes. I went boarding for 2 days in a row and they were 100 times better then the rental boots i had to use for the past month. The flex is great and I think they are super comfy. I got the 8.5(blue steel/disco) when I wore an 8 in rentals. 8.5 was a great choice they would have been way too small.

All good...eventually....

I tried these boots on in the Burton store a zillion times to gage size and see how they felt. The fit is true to size and a little narrow around the ankle. After thinking they were amazingly comfy and squishy, I bought em online for the better price.

When I got them out the box and popped them on to break them in, after 10 mins I thought "Holy mother of God, these are evil and I can't feel my toes" and doubted my in store judgement. But, I took the insoles out for a couple of days while they broke in and it was all good again. They look awesome in the disco blue and fit perfectly into my Lexa bindings. They might even replace my Ugg boots for comfort...
