Deep snow, big lines, drops, waves, and gnarly steeps. This is nature's terrain park, and the Burton Sherlock Snowboard is the perfect tool to investigate it. The Sherlock's twin-like shape gives it a super jibby twin feel—perfect for sticking your backcountry landing switch for times-two cool points. As an added bonus, Burton made the Sherlock impossible to lose aprés-bar: it glows in the dark!
- Flying V hybrid camber/rocker puts camber underneath the bindings and rocker at the tip, center, and tail of the board for float in powder, edge control, and plenty of pop
- Super Fly II core strategically places stronger, lighter wood in specific areas of the core to provide strength and pop
- Dualzone EGD places the wood perpendicularly along the toe and heel edges in two different zones to optimize edge control
- Directional Flex means the board is packed with pop at the tail and resilience at the nose to help maintain control in any terrain
- The Channel allows the rider to micro-adjust his or her stance over a greater length and an infinite range
- Pro Tip reduces weight at the tip and tail for less swing weight

Quiver killer! My fave board ever.
There are a lot of mediocre boards out there, and some best sellers. It's tough to find the right board because you can't take em for a test drive before buying. So you're basically buying blind and hoping for the best. Most boards I ride, I like some things about them but not all... except for the Sherlock. There is nothing about this board I don't love, and I'm not letting it go. This will be the second Sherlock 57 I've ridden.
Burton designed this board to be a freestyle pow board, which is why I bought it. Flying V hybrid camber offers the best of both camber and rocker shapes. In powder, it's super floaty both switch and forward. It has a nice loose feel in powder unlike traditional camber boards that are catchy, grabby and difficult to initiate pow turns. Unlike rocker boards that you need to land bolts on, if you land sloppy on the Sherlock the nose and tail are there to center you.
I was surprised to find it dominates the entire mountain, including jumps and rails. It's got a twin shape, directional medium flex and mellow sidecut for park laps.
One side note, Burton stiffened the Sherlock for the 12/13 season by adding triax fiberglass topsheet and carbon stringers. I'm not down with that, but you might be. I'm a pretty light guy and don't like fighting with my board, so that's why I picked up the 11/12 for this season. Happy shreddin!
love my sherlock!

Can i get the sherlock at 157 length and still fit a size 12 boot
What type of boot? Burton does this boot print reduction thing where their boots size down, in length, almost half a size. I have a Burton Joystick 159 Wide with 12 boots and it is perfect. I think if you got a wide you would be great. I don't think i would go with a standard width board.
Just for the record, I just got a 160cm with a black base, and it doesn't glow in the dark. Still, I give it 5 stars for looks.

Burton Sherlock fun board
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Great Board , nice Flex and poppy. Overall if I were to buy a Burton this or the Process would be the boards I am interested in. It did wash out once at high speed, other than that super fun and playful. Would be a fun everyday board.
