Pull on your Burton Women’s Society Jacket, and rub elbows with the jet-setters. Burton gave this insulated jacket its DryRide Durashell coating to help you stay toasty while you lap the park, ride the slopes, or barhop through Aspen. A swanky Wrapture lining not only feels good and layers easily, it also wicks perspiration and breathes so you can avoid that post-ride clammy feeling. Zip the Society to your Burton pants to lock in the luxury and lock out the elements.

Really love this jacket for the style... only reason I gave it one less star is that it runs quite small.... otherwise, great for the slopes or a rainy day~
How warm is this Jacket
Would this jacket keep me warm in -30?
I would like to have this jacket for snowmobiling mainly but i dont know if its warm enough for the type of weather we have in my region.

are there any mocha M size jackets left and does this jacket have wrist gaiters?
Great jacket for the GF!!
Runs small ladies......I would suggest going a size up.
~ Nice large front pockets, roomy enough to fit gloves.
~ Great mid weight, all season jacket.
~ With hood, a must for big mountains.
** Picked up the capers color, color is light green with white detailing. Nice match with black bottoms.
Not sure where this goggle pocket is meant to be...
This jacket has 2 front pockets, and 2 tiny inner pockets. Not enough, where is the goggle pocket? I bought the small as this was exactly my my measurements according to the size chart. It's really big on me and I'm swimming in it. Wore it this weekend at Thredbo and with just a tanktop and thermal shirt underneath I was plenty warm while snowboarding and only got chilly on the lifts when the wind picked up. Stayed really dry for the 3 days too so was impressed with that.
Went to Tahoe w/ this jacket. Day started sunny and it was perfect. I had a thermal and a t-shirt underneath. Day ended super windy and snowing. Temp around 35. I was feeling it.
super cute jacket but I feel that it runs small. The bottom feels tight. Should've have ordered a size up.
The pockets look bulky when filled and you can't layer well unless you order up a size! It's cut snug to be flattering. The vents under the arms allow you to adjust your warmth, its perfect for all weather. I thought the mahagony would be too brown, but its got a hint of merlot in there for it to still be girlie. I've taken it to Colorado and New York in all temps, as long as you layer when you need to you're good to go!
Love the dryride on this one. I was wearing it on the train and spilled my coffee, and after wiping it with some tissue you couldn't tell that there was coffee on there. Also keeps me nice and warm on the slopes. I love how you can layer it for cold days or wear it by itself and just a shirt underneath on warmer riding days. The lime green really pops and I pair it with my hot pink Burton Society pants for riding.

Is the snap flap removable? What happens when it is undone? Does it just hang there?
it is not removable. It does not look bad when it is not fastened all the way up. This is a great jacket.

Skirt? I am 5'5" 140 lbs. Big hips, small waist, small chest. Medium?
Follow the sizing chart to make sure you get the correct size. That really is the best advice. I would hate for you to get the wrong size.

How does the extra fabric (with snaps) work when the hood is not in use? Does it flop around one's face if the hood is on the jacket but it's not cold enough to wear the hood? Thanks.
The hood is not removable, so the snaps are there to keep your face nice and warm. You don't have to have the hood up to use the snaps. They can be folded down if you do not need the extra protection. It will respond like any other jacket when not zipped up.

If I'm 5'2" and about 130lbs, would the medium be too big?
The best thing to do is to measure yourself, underneath your armpits, around the shoulder blades and across your chest. This will give you the best sizing for your jacket. Match that measurement with the sizing chart up top. You will be very please with the jacket.
Great jacket for the price!!!!
I received this jacket as a gift not knowing that its only a 5k jacket. I have worn it all year long on Mt Hood, day or night, and have kept quite warm. I was even suprised that it stil kept quite dry on wetter snowy days. I normally wear Gortex but could not resist wearing this jacket with its super cute styling, fit, and awesome green color. I have received tons of compliments wearing it. I love to pair it with hot pink or blue pants !!!

Anyone have pix of the mahogany jacket? Is it on the reddish side or totally brown?
The mahogany color is kinda of in the middle of both colors. It's a rich brown colorway with red tones. I hope that helps.
it's really nice in between. not purple not brown not red. The photo is pretty on point.

Looks like a really cute jacket & I love the mahogany color (on my screen anyway). Just concerned that the snap flap might look funny if not snapped up... like for warmer days?? Wish they had a pic of the jacket unzipped.
The color is slightly tinted merlot so its still girly. The flap isn't an issue, but those buttons are velcro. I needed to order a size larger because the pockets looks to bulky when it was zipped up. This jacket runs snug to be flattering, so take that into consideration. There are long zippered vents under the armpits so you can adjust your warmth according to the season. For the price, this is a great Burton find!

Burton jackets cant ship to Canada?? Usually they ship only within north america. Is this correct? Canada LOVES burton!
As part of our vendor agreements we aren't able to ship certain brands outside the US. Burton, unfortunately, is one of those brands.
