Mustache not required but highly recommended.
We're not sure when sporting jeans on the slopes went from being something reserved for those with mustaches and cowboy hats to something as common as chairlift hecklers, but some of us never doubted the return of denim. Thanks to a few brave designers at Burton and a little help from the Flying Tomato, himself, we've all been blessed with Burton's The Jeans Gore-Tex Pant, which boasts a few major technological upgrades from what our dads' used to wear skiing in the '80s.
- Gore-Tex waterproof breathable fabric guarantees that you stay dry and comfortable through pow days, snowy lift rides, and spring sessions
- The new Mid fit means this pant moves with you and doesn’t impede motion but doesn't make you look like a terrible rapper from the '80s
- Stretch gaiters with hooks ensure that snow stays out of your boots, while hem zippers make suiting up easy

very pricey pair of pants... expected more for the price. material is very thin compared to my other pants half the price. the pants do have a cool factor since it looks like a pair of jeans.
They were bigger than what I thought they would be
These are fabulouse pants. Only that I had to change size as they were too big for my son who is usually XL or 34 in other sizes.
No back pockets? Or inside pocket?
No back pockets? Or inside pocket?
Yes this is a 5 pocket pant. 2 Front Zip pockets, 1 coin pocket and 2 back pockets.
So.. These.. "Jean Snowboard Pants"......
So.. These.. "Jean Snowboard Pants"... Where we at on pockets? A lot? a few? Are the zipper pockets?
There are 2 handwarmer pockets.
These pants are the same style and cut as your fave jeans. You get two front pockets, a coin pocket and two back pockets.
i have an older version of these and love them. extremely comfortable and look great its like wearing a comfortable pair of jeans on the mtn. their only downfall is that when it snows the denim material gets wet and heavy and even though it does not penetrate the goretex membrane the denim material becoming wet does get cold and thus makes you feel cold and like the pants are leaking. this model solves that but feels almost like plastic and is not denim like at all. session still makes a denim looking paint......still get them a little bigger u want the room in these
Well, i just thought i'd share this. I'm 6'3, 220lbs, and i must admit that the XL are kinda tight.
Other than that, they really do look awesome, and unlike my stagger AK pants, they are completely lined with some pretty comfy material.
Gore-Tex performance shell
these pants will keep you dry regardless of the weather conditions. the 2L construction and the super thin outer layer feels like i'm wearing plastic trash bags. it's very light weight but just not my style. the fit was tight around the crotch, burton forgot to calculate the extra space men need for our junk or what? i'm 5'8" 155lb with little body fat and ordered a Medium. i ended up returning these for different pants.
pros: gore-tex performance, always dry
cons: pricy, tight fit around the crotch, super thin outer layer
I bought these, they fit excellent are very warm with long underwear and ride well all day. I got a ton of compliments and looks. Everyone thinks they are real jeans. I love them and would but them again in a second. Also they are very durable. I highly recommend!!
Denim snowboard pants
My son LOVES these pants! I had read other reviews that these pants could be ripped easily, but with Dogfunk's great lifetime warranty guarantee, we have just saved all of our paperwork to return for a new pair if we ever have any problems. These pants are the coolest thing to see on the ski slopes. When we were skiing out in Colorado several people had them, and they literally look like all denim jeans. Also, these pants are extremely waterproof, nothing will get through, which is great for the slopes closer to the east coast where the air is much more damp.
I just bought the Analog Gavel jeans and...
I just bought the Analog Gavel jeans and was wondering if Burton "the Jeans" are better? I like the look of the Burton Jeans more but went with the Gavel's because I found them for sale and alot less mula. I was about to return the Gavel's and buy the Burton Jeans but after reading the reviews about them I think I am going to keep the Gavel's. Is the material of the Burton Jeans really that bad and also are the gavels any better?
Both pants are really similar. The AG Gravels will probably be warmer because they have fleece in the butt and knees, and the material is thicker. The Jeans will be more waterproof (because they're Goretex). You will only notice a waterproof difference when it's really wet out, slushy, or if you're sitting on the snow for a long time.
If I were you, I would stick to the Gravels. You already have them, so exchanging for another almost identical pair of pants might be pointless. Also, the Gravels have better style IMO.
Not so impressed!
These pants feel and sound like a diaper. I have a military style Gortex jacket and the shell actually has a denim feel to it and I thought it would be the same, not so much. I bet they will tear on the first hard fall. I sent them back, going for the Anolog.
Cheapest Pants Ever!!!
Yeah they might look cool but when it comes to quality of material forget it!!!! The pants are paper thin!!! Im gonna spend more time in the hospital with frost bite or pneumonia than on the mountain and Im in SO CAL!!! Burton definetly has disappointed!!! Id rather wear my torn up DC pants than these!!! If you want denim pants these are not for you!!! Im gonna get a new pair of DC pants or switch to Nomis
These pants look sick! Not only that but being Gore-Tex they handle everything thrown at them. They can be a bit restrictive in the crutch so I would defn go try some on before you buy, I normally have a 31" waist but went with the Med for a bit of extra room and mad style points. Also in the information on this page it says no venting, but they do have vents on the inner leg seam!
Actually, i may have asked the wrong...
Actually, i may have asked the wrong question. I've got an ak hover jacket, it has a zipper and i can zip it to my ak stagger pants, i was wondering if this has the same thing, not just those loops where you can attach the powder skirt.
This will just have the loops that make the jacket to pants interface.
Is this the 2012 model? The description...
Is this the 2012 model? The description is different from the one on Burton's website.
Yes this is the 2012 model.
do these come in xs and if they do let me...
do these come in xs and if they do let me now
Sorry they only come small- Xl. If you need a smaller pair you want want to look at the women's jean pant. They are the same cut and look but will have a smaller fit. Good luck
Has this got jacket to pants interface?
Has this got jacket to pants interface?
Yes, they do have a jacket to pants interface.
Yes all Burton Jackets and pants have the interface.
Are these a tight fit in the crotch as...
Are these a tight fit in the crotch as described by some who have reviewed? (ie. see review on dogfunk). No snowboarding pant should be tight in this or any other area really, they are not advertised as a tight fit...???
No these are def not tight in your manhood area. These pants are going to be more on the loose side.
Ah, very cool, cheers.
So a medium should be fine - I am 5'9" & 170lb???
I was all set to buy a pair of these until I tried them on at a local shop.
I'm 6'2" 185-190lbs, usually a 34-35" waist and ~33" inseam and these felt sorta tight and restrictive to me, not so much in the junk region but through the hips, upper thighs, and butt. Waist, lower thighs, and inseam all fit and the XLs wanted to fall off so I think the L was the correct size, just a weird cut for snowsports IMO, but YMMV. I've got a couple different pair of regular old relaxed fit Gap jeans that have better range of motion than these did, might be better if these were GTX Pro Stretch or some thing else w/ slightly more give.
I wear a large in all other Burton pants, but these were way too tight in the legs. I had to get an XL.
Dope style, crappy fit
I'm 5'9 165, got a medium, but they were too tight around the crotch. I wasn't expecting a super baggy fit, but these were way too restrictive for me
Any chance of getting any more of the blue...
