Burton Wheelie Sub - 4800 cu in - 2007

With 80 liters of space, the Burton Wheelie Sub is the triple-decker bus of Burton's rolling luggage. Pack the Wheelie Sub for your South America summer snowboarding trip or to spend your month-long winter break on Colorado's slopes. The Sub separates in half to beat airport weight limits, and the skate wheels make rolling this behemoth to the taxi a piece of cake. Attach your backpack to this bag so you don't have to juggle multiple pieces as you head to the airport check-in. Should your wheel bust as you roll down some rutted, potholed road, you can easily replace it. The KLIPH (Kick Ass Lightweight Innovative Packing Hauler) telescoping handle doesn't take up any room in your bag, so your clothes lay flat and stay wrinkle-free. An included toiletry kit helps you stay organized. *Available for US Shipment Only.

Bottom Line: Ride around the world with the Burton Wheelie Sub.

Burton Wheelie Sub 4800

Great piece of gear, got a bunch of compliments on its style during my travels.
The skateboard wheels are awsome as well, they roll nice and quiet and absorb any bumps with ease.
The bag itself is large and can accomodate a week or 2 week long trip easily.
Being able to split the bag into 2 pieces actually came in handy on my way home, I was able to save $50 bucks in airport weight fee's by splitting it and checking 2 bags and the airport attendant got a kick out of it.

BEST IN SHOW LUGGAGE

By: Dogfunk.com Vendor Rep

I just got back from Valle Navajo Chile- and i took a wheelie board bag, and the double deck. I brought it packed to the brim, and shopped like crazy when i was there. thanks to the expansion zones- i was still able to cram everything in there. I only review things i actually use as a rep. I have 7 collections of Burton luggage. I LOVE IT, it functions, it doesn't blow out. The wheels are SKATE WHEELS. This print is SICK- you can make sure your luggage makes it off the tarmac because you can SPOT IT FROM THE PLANE!

the wheelie sub is the best suitcase ever

By:
October 15, 2007

i came across the burton wheelie sub after weeks of looking around at the luggage stores in san francisco for an alternative to a hiking backpack for my month-long trip across europe. for many reasons i was opposed to traveling with a backpack, but most of the suitcases i found were either too heavy, hideous, or cost $300 or more.
with a week left before my departure, and ordered this bag from luggage.com. then two days later they told me that it wouldn't arrive for several weeks. i decided to cancel the order and get it here, and the bag was in stock and arrived just in time.

about the bag: it is amazing!!! it looks great, it is lighter than you'd expect, it is EXTREMELY durable. i filled the bag with 50 lbs of crap and dragged it down stairs at the train stations. the skateboard wheels are very strong, and they roll very well over every surface that you encounter on a trip around europe (dirt, gravel, cobblestones, cracks). you can fit endless amounts of stuff into the bag (and i mean ENDLESS) because it stretches in most directions. the feature that allows the bag to zip in half is very very handy... it was useful when we were traveling on trains and the whole bag wouldnt fit in the overhead compartments, or when we had to carry the bag up five floors of european spiral stairs.
the bag really took a beating and came back looking pretty new. my only warning is that if you intend to buy this bag and use it on a cross-continent trip involving train stations, metro stations, and stairs... then make sure that you have a willing travel partner who will carry the other end up the stairs, because elevators are not always available. if you do not have a strong man to help you, then i suggest that you get the wheelie bag that is one size smaller than this one, or else pack very very light.
if you are not huge shoppers, this bag might even be enough space for two for a couple of weeks.

Sweet-ass Luggage

By:

This bag is a perfect compliment to my Burton Wheelie Locker. Plenty of space, very easy to open and close, and sick styling. Also, it is very lightweight, which allows it to be filled with clothing and remain under the 50-lb. limit when flying. Sweet!

Cavernous

This thing is huge! Easy to maneuver, separates easily. Comes with self=packing linen bag inside that was a nice surprise. Fit everything for a week in CO in easily. Nice set up with external and internal padding - it even separates into two different bags so you can get your gear in under 50# for the airport!

Big Sub

I didn't give this product a 5 because it was entirely too big for my needs. Its a great product though. It actually separates into two bags, sweet. It was more than I needed though.

HUGE

Okay so I got this luggage for a week trip to NY. I must say it's badass. Only thing is it is HUGE. Not really idea for common uses or a weekend trip. I was debating on whether to get the version on size smaller, but it was only $30 cheaper.
