Hi. I'm 5'6", 145lb, but a 42" chest. I do a good deal of riding in the cold VT mountains, where it's can be -5-10F, so layers will be needed. I've been using a shell forever and mainly rely on layers, even @ -20F. Just wondering what size would be appropriate, Medium or Large?
The large will fit your chest the best. Get it and be stoked.

How warm is this jacket. I am moving to Colorado and want to find a nice looking jacket that is also warm.
This is more of a 2-layer technical outerwear shell... It will be very warm as long as you rock a technical layering piece under it (such as a Burton bonded fleece or similar)
If you want to just rock a thermal layer underneath go for a Burton jacket with a little more insulation (2nd option under tech specs of jacket)
Great jacket for all conditions
This jacket has a great fit, loose but not too baggy. Warm enough to wear with a light shirt on warmer days, plenty of room for layering on cold days. Long length and powder skirt for good coverage on powder days. Also zips to Burton pants. Totally waterproof, great for slushy conditions. Lots of room in the pockets. The hood doesn't have a great range of motion with a helmet, a minor issue.
how do u hook your iphone or whatever into...
how do u hook your iphone or whatever into this jacket....there is al ittle hold inside with a tiny pouch u can pull through....but dont see anywhere to put a ipod or a pocket that has holes to run headphones through....
Sorry man i don't have the jacket so i don't know excatly how you do it, but i'm pretty sure the pouch you are talking about is where you put your iPhone. Then run the cable from that inside your jacket to your collar. Look for tiny hoops along the zipper, these are on some jackets to feed the cable through to keep it in place.
Sweetest part of the Jacket, no one would even know there is a pocket to hold your Ipod. Look inside the left side for a small slit for your cord then feed the wire trough. The pocket is a velcro enclosure that runs parallel to zipper !!!
Please answer: this jacket have heater...
Please answer: this jacket have heater layer for cold weather?
It has no insulation or heating of any kind.
yup, Angus is right. This is a shell, if you want to stay super-duper warm get a Burton Bonded fleece to layer under it and some thermals!!!
The look is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey, looks like I answered a Q of yours under nomis. I am also a big dude, and it sounds like you are tring to find a long, big jacket, no? I have searched high and far trying to find a jacket that fit right, and I found this: Burton has a particular fit called "team fit" that runs 2-3 inches longer than their normal fit, but the overall "width" of the jacket isn't too wide. I think at your size you could do a xxl team fit and have plenty of coverage. I would check out www.burton.com to see if this jacket falls under the "team fit" category...
also, the nomis sh*t has the longest fit on the market...period.
Buy a jacket, if it doesn't fit, return it to dogfunk for a refund!
good luck, my fellow tall shredder brethren
also, technine has a "team fit" that is a xxl with 2 inches of extra length...but their gear is crap, from what I've found!
how does the jacket fit?
how does the jacket fit?
Jacket is sweet !!!! So many compliments from people who don't even board.
Normally wear Large sizes, you will need a size bigger
unless you are tall & thin (not me). Sleeves are long which is a
good thing to cover gloves. SO Pleased with jacket !!!!
