These pants are a fairly loose fit, but unlike many lose fitting jeans these days only big enough for one person to wear them (at a time). The waistband is pretty relaxed and requires a belt to wear normally. They fit squarely under the 'loose' category in the sizing chart. The material is pretty stiff and has stayed that way for about 5 washes.
