Capita Black Snowboard of Death

Have you ever flown across the currents of space and time on the wings of a rocket-powered robotic pterodactyl? No? Well, the Capita Black Snowboard of Death is probably as close as you'll ever get. But considering its Freeride FK hybrid profile, poppy-yet-damp basalt fiber reinforcements, and Death Grip sidecut, you might not even notice the difference.

  • Freeride FK profile uses camber between your feet for powerful pop and grip, with rocker outside the inserts for fewer edge catches and better float
  • Flat Kicks raise the nose and tail up at a steep angle for maximum flotation in deep snow
  • Basalt fiber reinforcements extend from the inserts to the contact points for extra pop and vibration dampening without extra weight
  • Custom fiberglass weave uses triaxial fiberglass above the core and biaxial fiberglass below the core for a snappy, responsive feel
  • P2 Superlight core features a strategic blend of wood strains for insane pop and energy transfer at minimal weight
  • New Age directional sidecut for high-speed stability, with Death Grip reverse sidecut zone between your feet for extra edge control
  • Wax-infused sintered base for face-melting speed and reliable durability

Bottom Line: The all-mountain freestyle monster.

I love this board and would like to get the 162 but I ride with a size 12 boot. Is the waist on the BSOD to small or should I start looking for a wide board?

Amazing board

This board is incredible. It's very fast and the edges are amazing, it's also very light. Its also very stable for a hybrid camber board. I got a new custom X last year and a BSOD this year; as much as I love my custom X, the black board is now my primary shred sled and I will definitely be getting another in the future.

Why It's Awesome: This one board is all you need to attack any situation. The Black Snowboard of Death integrates camber where you need it for power and stability through variable terrain with reverse camber where you want it for control in powder conditions. The BSOD also features Death Grip™ -- a unique reverse sidecut blend in the midsection of the board to complement this hybrid camber design. This combination retains high-speed control in any situation and continues to build upon the Black Death legacy, epitomizing all terrain freestyle design.

Arturo, hi dude. For your height and weight, I suggest a 156 or a 159. The 156 will be more agile and more appropriate for butters and all mountain freestyle stuff. The 156 will still float well in powder, but not as well as the 159.
The 159 will be a little more stable at speed and a little more floaty, but will not be as quick to spin.
Depending on your riding style, those are the sizes I suggest.
