Everything comes full circle. And we all at one point fall victim to marketing, hype, and fly-by-night schemes designed to separate us from our cash and to line the pockets of those pushing these schemes. Yes, somewhere along the road, we allow others to confuse us on why we started doing what we loved in the first place. The Capita Normal Ass Snowboard was designed to do go fast, have fun, shred powder with your friends, and pull tricks—not to have tricks pulled on you.
This classic cambered board features Carbon-KEVLAR® beams for enhanced torsional stiffness .... oh, wait, we weren't going to go there, were we
How does this board handle big mountain/powder? I am going to Utah in a few months. I ride a Capita Stairmaster on the east coast right now, so it handles fine all over groomers, hardpack, etc but is a bit tough to ride in deep fresh pow. I'm trying to get an idea of what kind of board would help me ride Park City, etc. Is it just a matter of setting my stance back, or do I need a legit all mountain board to ride the bowls, etc? Thanks!
the name says it all. this is a normal ass snowboard. plain and simple, a directional twin with kevlar stringers from contact to contact point down each edge. these boards are a bit more supportive and is a great fast board for riding the whole mountain. it also excels in the pipe. this shape has been evolving in the capita line since some of tyler lepore's original shapes. this board offers a serious ride, awesome priced board at under $400. check the link for the clinic: http://c3-superpro.blogspot.com/2011/08/2011-12-capita-nas.html
WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT: With so many different board designs on the market today, many shredders are confused about the gazillion different types of camber and why companies keep contradicting one another with their design ideologies. The first step of CAPiTA's "NAS" system was to unplug the fog machine, wipe the slate clean, strip the graphics off, and present an incredible, timeless design, for the "No B.S." style of snowboarder. Hailed as a 2x Transworld Snowboarding Top Five Good Wood award winner, this quiver killer needs no warm up period. Comfortable and stable out of the box while still quick edge to edge, these boards can handle anything the mountain can dish out. And, with a price tag hundreds of dollars less than its Good Wood peers, these boards are undeniably the best high performance product for the price, industry wide.

Max- This board was made for Normal Dudes that Rip, who do not want any gimmicks or nonsense in their boards or their riding. From what you described sounds like you would fit the 161 for everyday riding and cruising.
