Wrong side of the tracks.

Capita dedicates the Outsiders Snowboard to all the kids your parents warned you about. The ones smoking in the bathroom at school, breaking off huge tricks in the park, staying out long after curfew, you know the type. So when you're ready to ditch the boring and predictable in favor of the new and exciting, the twin shape and New Age camber profile makes the Outsiders exactly the sidekick you need. The medium flex keeps it pressable, without making it squirrely when you're bombing into big features. You've probably heard that rules are made to be broken, but there's no point in breaking them when you can just ignore them and do whatever you want.

The Outsiders runs on Capita's New Age camber profile. That means there's camber between the feet for ultimate control, and outside the insert packs, the board flattens before the tips. The result is greater jib freedom than traditional camber, with all of the support and pop you'd expect. The twin shape opens up infinite switch tricks, making it a perfect match for this park slayer. There's two carbon fiber beams running inside of the edges, for improved grip and pop. The die-cut sintered base is highly porous, so it holds a ton of wax and runs fast when you're straight-lining into the big jump line.

  • New Age camber (camber under feet, flat outside bindings)
  • Twin shape
  • 360 degree steel edges
  • 2x carbon fiber beams
  • DS Select RFC sustainable wood core
  • Sintered base

I got this board in December and am so incredibly stoked on it so far! I've always been a fan of the tradition camber so I looooove the pop on this thing. The zero camber sections at the tip and tale make it incredibly forgiving but hold a great edge when carving hard, even through ice. The board has just enough flex but holds up really good when charging. I've ridden the board hard and hit a lot of different terrain and the top sheet and base are holding up pretty damn good! I am female, 160 lbs. and 5'6" and chose the 148. I'll definitely stick with this model next season. Belieeee dat!

camber comes correct on this one!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Let me start by saying I have ridden the Capita stairmaster extreme for years. So, obviously I was bummed when they dropped it from the line and added this board. My first thoughts "ugh, another cambered board lost, and just another camber board added." Well folks, my attitude has certainly changed. Don't let the words "new age" and "hybrid" mislead you - like they did me. At fist- I was thinking this was not a good replacement for a cambered board because it had hybrid camber. But this was a huge misconception! THIS BOARD IS MOSTLY CAMBER - with a few kinks worked out. Basically it rides like any normal, traditional, low-cambered snowboard, but, the edges don't hook! and the flat zones make it slightly buttery!

I've ridden this board all over and had a blast. I'm a big fan of the core this thing is equipped with. Maybe a little bit stiff at first, but after a few days of hard riding it breaks in just how you like it - like a good pair of tennis shoes.

I have been so stoked on this board, which is awesome because my initial reaction was slightly negative. I would reccomend this board to anyone who might want a park oriented snowboard (just get a smaller size), or anyone who just wants a good ole' twin shaped snowboard that can crush the whole mountain and can still handle some park features or cat track side hits. Once again I have been stoked and all my bros who have tried have been stoked too!

I rode the 152 primarily for park/rails and cruising groomers . I'm 155 lbs and almost 6 foot. This thing was pretty soft. Also, rode a buddies 154 and it definitely felt a little more responsive and stiff than my little 52!

Hope this helps, enjoy!

Traditional Pop & Snap w a New Age Feel!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is prolly my most Fav Board in the Capita Line up for for 2014!! I rode the Defenders of Awesome last year & Loved it!! But Capita's New age Camber is unreal, It has such a good feel under foot and so much pop like old school Cambered boards without the negative hook to to throw you down. That mini flat zone at the contact points makes all the difference! Why didn't somebody think of this ages ago?? Combined with a sexy shape & a Dope Graphic This board Rips the whole mtn!! I got lucky enough to Surf Knee Deep Pow at Snow Basin on this Dingo late last year & wow was I amazed!!! This Capita board does it all, Definitely a Quiver Keeper in my book!!

what's awesome about the outsiders board is that it is the first new age cambered board in capita's line, hopefully not its last.
the board is basically fully cambered underfoot like an old school traditional park jump board. however, the trick is, there is a small 4mm zero camber area from where the camber ends and the boards blend zone starts in the nose and tail. this relieves camber presure in the shoulders and helps prevent hooking, or "catching your edge".
if you like light weight, twin tip, snappy park boards, the outsiders is for you. it takes the place of the starimaster extreme in the capita line of freestyle park jump boards.
