Capita Stairmaster Extreme Snowboard - 2011

With a long lineage of extreme-ness, the Capita Stairmaster Extreme Snowboard is a progressive park board built for the biggest features out there (although it's always ready to get loose on rails). With shred credits for days, including a 2010 Dew Tour Slopestyle championship, an X-Games silver medal, and 2011 Good Wood recognition, the Stairmaster Extreme delivers power and bomber toughness. Just ask Dan Brisse; he finds the unique dampening system placed along the edges between the inserts handy when hucking massive parking lot gaps.

  • Traditional camber is reliable, powerful, and ready to devour
  • Bomb-proof bonding component takes stress off your edges from dramatic impacts and horrendous rail antics
  • E-Class epoxy resin system uses a custom weave derived from marine standards that shaves weight off the wood core and increases performance
  • DS Select RFC sustainable core uses certified renewable wood
  • A sintered base carries you past flats, knuckles, and vacationing skiers on your way to whatever your poison is

Bottom Line: Fast, fun, and extreme.

Is this worth the extra 90 bucks over the regular stairmaster?

Is this worth the extra 90 bucks over the regular stairmaster? I don't do any huge jumps, and I dont jib much. I just want a fun board for butters, medium jumps, back country, and lots of pow riding. This or regular stairmaster?

the sintered base is the difference. Sintered bases are more porous so they can hold more wax. definitely get this one if you can.

Amazing stick this one!! You'll get this after your first turns or your first kickers. This board really rocks. The only problem is that is made with shit.....really, it is actually made with shit and after just three weeks of my riding (Im just a regular guy, not a 30 steps kink rail pro) it already started to break on the edges. The cuts on the edges are now more than ten all over the edges and top sheet is coming out. If you ride three times per season this is the board for you.

Sounds like a warranty issue thankfully Capita's warranty is legit you should hit them up. I got the same board and haven;t had a problem with it. he version of this board I had before had 400+ days on and other than cosmetics was totally fine.

stairmaster extreme

you like the stairmaster? you'll love the extreme.
these positive cambered freestyle decks are the same shapes and sizes as the stairmasters, but they are upgraded in materials. for the extra $100 you get a full wood core, as sintered base and some rubber dampening under your feet.
this board is a nice soft every day cambered board that is great in the park and is great for jumping.

TYPE:TRUETWIN EXTREME FREESTYLE

CAMBER TYPE: TRADITIONAL CAMBER

WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT:
Maybe because this board won the 2010 DewTour Slopestyle Championship? Or maybe you prefer the X-games silver medal? Hmmm... Or, because of the Transworld Snowboarding Top Ten Good Wood award for one of the best freestyle boards on the market? In any case, the EXTREMES are for a special customer looking for a unique product that not everyone else is going to have. They're geared toward a progressive park shredder that doesn't want to break the bank, but is looking for more performance than the standard Stairmaster construction. They feature an epoxy glass configuration, sintered base, and cambered construction so they're fast, strong, and have mad pop off park jumps. Combine that with a specially designed dampening system placed along the edge between the inserts, and these boards yield enhanced impact resistance as well. The performance in relation to price tag of these versatile freestyle boards is unmatched, and as a result, they're the first ones to sell out every year.

IN DETAIL:
• DS Select RFC Sustainable Core
• Die Cut Sidewalls with 1.5mm Dampening System
• Custom Weave -- E Class Fiberglass Configuration
• Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Speed Base
• Silkscreen Base Graphics
• 360 Degree Steel Edges
• 4 x 2 Inserts
