Capita Stairmaster Snowboard - 2010

The Capita Stairmaster originated in an alternate universe populated by super-intelligent, space-traveling chimpanzees who love to snowboard. Thanks to a few handfuls of magic cosmic dust in every board, you'll flow through double-kinks and lock in your two-sevs like never before. The damp, durable wood composite core and soft flex combine with the reliable pop of traditional camber for a super-buttery ride that slays parks and street rails.

  • WDT Engineered Jib Core uses advanced wood composite for a super-flexy, durable, and damp feel that makes short work of presses and flat landings
  • Traditional camber pops off of jumps and locks into boardslides exceptionally well
  • True Twin shape ensures predictable takeoffs and landings both regular and switch
  • Biax fiberglass wrap delivers a forgiving, buttery ride

Bottom Line: Intergalactic origins equal jibbing dominance.

I'm looking a buying this board in the next few day but need some binding as well. I was thinking the black/white Forum republics but dont know if they will fit. If not any suggestion would be a massive help but no Burton gear as I'll get sending them to Australia and its too hard to get them in.

Cheers

Sam

Ok Well I know someone who put Forum's on this board i don't know if they were republics though but im thinking if one Forum pair fit they all should.... but if you don't want to risk it i would highly recommend the Union Contacts they fit this board and they are (in my opinion) the best bindings out there right now and Thats what i have on this board so I'm sure they will fit...... hope that helped

Love it Super Duper Much!

Got last year's version in the 152w. Best park board I've ever ridden hands down. I was a Burton guy for 8 years, rode nothing but Burton and thought everything else was crap. Then I decided to buy a Capita scaremaster cause it was cheap. That board was sick so last year I bought the stairmaster and its even more sick! I ride mostly park, unless it's a pow day I'm in the park or screwing around on side hits. The board has super pop, its soft but poppy as all hell. It locks into rails like mad, 50-50s, blunts, boards, presses, great board for the jibs. It rocks jumps solid too. I'm a bit of a wimp so the biggest jumps are 30 footers for the most part, super solid. Even the 152 stomps landings without being sketchy at all. Spins are no issue on the stairmaster. This obviously is a park deck and isn't great riding the mountain fast, but when you want to you can definitely dig an edge in on this thing no problem. Its solid as hell too. I beat the crap out of it every time I ride and it keeps coming back for more. When the base got all chewed up (who knew you shouldn't ride in the woods with less than a foot of coverage?) I filled it in with p-tex and good as new. Wax her up and she'll fly, real fast base considering its extruded. This is my favorite board I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot in 10 years of riding. If I were to buy another board today it'd probably be a stairmaster. Capita makes great decks at incredibly fair prices. If you want a park board that's soft and poppy, that you can beat the hell out of and still keep if for a few years this is the one.

You'll be fine. I have a 152 wide with 11.5 boots, but I also have a scaremaster (very similar) 156 regular and it does fine.

I'm looking at the capita stairmaster for my next board.

I'm looking at the capita stairmaster for my next board. I ride park but mainly rails and boxes. Every once and awhile I hit some 50-60 footers but I just do some basic tricks like back ones and grabs. I like soft boards should I get this board and what size 148 or 152

For real this board is sick it is super light and poppy and just a great all around park board that you can jib all day with and still take it off a 50 footer if you want it is super light rides like a dream

Its luck of the draw. So they don't have a ton of extra base material on one color Capita rotates the color scheme. This means some of the boards are black on blue and others are blue on black. It basically is Capita making sure they cut down on waste and costs, if they didn't rotate base colors they'd have a huge stack of blue scrap base and they'd be out of black or something like that. Hope that explains it.

i have last years model of this board, but i dont think that they have changed to many of the specs on it. dont let anyone tell you that camber is out. this board has always tracked straight at high speeds, and can still press it out on jibs. it is best for street rails.

its fine for 40s, but this thing is way too soft for 60s or 70s, youll have trouble keeping an edge and popping or carving into a spin with the speed youll need to clear that sized jump. go with a stairmaster extreme!

sickkk

By:
December 6, 2010

theres a reason this is the best selling capita deck of all time.... this board is straight up sick. i got the 148, im 5'10 and weigh 145 and i love it. it can put out anywhere on the mountain. i really actually enjoyed riding it in powder and all over the mountain haha, and i loved popping this thing of anything i could find. in the park its a dream, especially on rails hence the name. anyways, sick board, best board ive ridden, great pop, great flexibility, not too soft, overall amazing. 5 stars

btw i got the 148 with the green background and it looks sick, so if you can get that color scheme

yea it can put down 60-70 foot booters, but if your more into the booters and kickers, check out the stairmaster extreme, which is a little stiffer and a little more directed towards jumps

board length shouldnt have anything to do with your height. It depends on your riding style and weight. Shorter boards are better for rails and jibbing while longer boards carve around better.
