If it wasn't totally FK'N awesome, it would be called the Lame-Sauce Wimpy board, but it's not, is it?
- Freeride FK profile turns and pops the way a board should, with a primarily cambered profile and just a little bit of rocker outside the bindings until the nose and tail go Wah-Pow!
- Carbon V-Tech taping channel energy directly from your inserts to the contact points for added response that doesn't stiffen up the rest of the board
- E-Class custom weave fiberglass uses a high-performing marine-standard epoxy resin compound that also allows for a thinner, lighter wood core
- DS Select RFC wood core, which joins lightweight popular and strong beech without finger joints, absorbs vibration and ensures a consistent and even flex
- Speed Base a wax-infused rotation sintered base that absorbs and holds wax and hauls ballz

A Tottally awesome board with minor setback
Let me start by saying this may be the best board i have ridden. floating is made easy while the stiff nature and camber give you the ability to blast turns and handle speed. I have put in near a hundred days on this board in the northwest and have found that Die cut capita letters on the base are slowly peeling up, lately I have been able to feel the slight grab on groomers. Also i Have a friend with the same problem with his totally fk awesome. Bottom line Sick board with a not so sick problem

I'm riding a k2 www ATM its a 152 so it's pretty small I weigh about 78kg I like riding park and smaller boards but I'm looking for a board that's good in all conditions I like this board cause it's slightly wider than normal any sizing suggestions I was looking towards the 155??
has anyone ridden this board in park? very...
has anyone ridden this board in park? very curious how it is on rails, big booters, boxes etc. looking at the 153 would love to know how people who have ridden it are saying
this board is NOT a true twin, as Dogfunk/backcountry claims. it is without a doubt directional..hopefully someone in the company sees this and can see something, because i know there a lot of riders out there that are like me and wont ride anything other than true twin, and its disappointing when the product info is off...i didnt have a chance to ride the board so i cant give feed back on it, but i can assure you:
THIS BOARD IS DIRECTIONAL,
the nose being a solid 2 full inches longer than the tail. (on a 157)
hope this helps some of you out
whats the difference between the black...
whats the difference between the black death and the totally awesome
mmmmmmmm.... boards tasty
Awesome is right!!
Let the name say it all for this one!
I got to ride the 53 TFA at a demo & fell in love rt away. I love how they did the hybrid camber. Having reg camber under foot gives me all the power and pop that I love but having the Flat Kick tip and tale allows me to surf pow easily or butter around the hill. I like the reverse sidecut between the feet, It helps you lock in your edge & rail turns while scraping your knees threw a carve.. It's a little wider in the waist and has a damper feel than the Black Snowboard of death, I'd love to get the 55 or even 57 for big mtn shralping!! Can't forget about the Sick Graphics either, What an AWESOME board!!!
What is the difference between hybrid...
What is the difference between hybrid reverse camber and reverse camber?
Hybrid boards have some old school camber, usually in the tip & tail or under your feet. Supposed to be better for control , holding an edge . Reverse boards are opposite, like a banana or macaroni . When u go fast it gets scary because there's less edge on the snow so hold on for dear life!
What is the difference between hybrid...
What is the difference between hybrid reverse camber and reverse camber?
Reverse is just regular rocker. hybrid is positive camber in the middle of the board and then typically at about your bindings its changes to reverse camber/rocker, so it has positive and reverse
TFA - totally fkn awesome
this board is new in the line for 2011.
it borrows technology from it's big brother the black snowboard of death. the tfa features freeride fk technology. it has positive camber, nice, under your feet with the familiar flat kick nose and tail designs from our other flat kick boards. keeping this board more forgiving on the tips while maintaining power under your feet.
there is also a mellow bump in the middle of the side cut to help with stability in the turn, allowing you to really work that camber.
i'd recommend this board to anyone who has been wavering on the whole reverse camber trends as of late and are trying to find out where they fit in. this is a great all mountain freestyle board that is still fun on jumps.
check out dustin craven's part in the new capita movie.....
check out the clinic video:
true love all mountain machine
This board rips all around!
This is a brand new line up for capita, it was a good choice! I bought this board, and rode it at M.t Hood, it is one of the funnest all around boards i've ridden. Medium flex, good board if you like an all mountain shredder. It can be thrown in the deep powder or handle the park as well.
This board is exactly as it claims, AWESOME! Rode it last season in ice, pow, crud, jumps, everything and it was excellent. Rad board for the guy that wants to ride just 1 board, fast, on actual snow, all season long.
TFA rides a little stiffer than the BSOD and rides super stable for high speed riding, and still playful and snappy. You will also make skier's angry with the graphic.
11-12 CAPiTA Totally FK'N Awesome
TYPE: AWESOMENESS PURIFIED
CAMBER TYPE: FREERIDE FK
WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT:
Because you don't get a name likeTotally FK'n Awesome if you're anything less. These hybrid camber boards were built to man-handle each and every feature of Mother Nature's great moun- tainous terrain. The elevated contact points are rockered just enough to float through soft snow, while the cambered mid section and slight reversed side cut arc allow you to grip it and rip it -- staying in complete control.
