Description

The name pretty much covers it.

Wreaking havoc on backcountry booters wherever he goes with the infamous 8 Mile crew, Dustin Craven conquers everything the British Columbia backcountry has to offer with the Capita Totally FK'N Awesome Snowboard. This ain't just a powder board though—Dustin rides this same deck for heavy park jumps and icy pipe sessions on the rare occasions when he leaves the Canadian wilderness.

The Hybrid FK profile features mellow camber from insert-to-insert for control, power, and edge hold, with flat areas outside the bindings for stability and a tiny bit of rocker just before the tip and tail to improve float in powder. V-Tech carbon rods radiating from under the binding areas out towards the tips maximize energy transfer for lightning-quick response. Custom Weave fiberglass optimizes resin performance to allow for a thinner core, which simultaneously reduces weight while achieving higher energy return. Speaking of the core and energy return, the Panda core is comprised of poplar for a lightweight and lively feel, and inlaid Bamboo Power Rods enhance pop.

The New Age Directional sidecut incorporates a reverse sidecut arc in the middle of the board to create an extra contact point for maximum grip on icy slopes. It's all topped off with a sintered base that retains wax well throughout the day and resists damage from rocks and stumps hidden beneath the snow.

  • Camber between bindings, flat outside bindings, and rocker at tips
  • Directional twin shape
  • New Age Directional sidecut with Death Grip
  • Quad V-Tech carbon rods
  • Custom Weave fiberglass
  • Panda core with Bamboo Power Rods
  • Sintered base
  • PLT topsheet technology

Ripping Board!!!!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

My Roomate has this board & I have managed to borrow it a few times. Always a great day when shredding this board!! I love the Hybrid camber on it, True Camber between the Feet & Rocker from just past the bindings to the contact points. It's about a 7flex so the TFA handles it's business pretty well anywhere on the mountain. My roommate loves this board on a pow day, He never lets me borrow it when the snow is deep, that's for sure.. This board is super solid & stable at Mach 10 Speeds, I like this years more subtle graphic over last years as well. I'm about 5'10"/185 & I Like the 155 most!!

the TFA for 2013 has been upgraded to a panda core, making the board lighter. it has also been upgraded with bamboo power rods in the nose and tail that are snappy and light. this board is solid, stable and fun on larger areas where you can open it up. i've ridden it at snowboard and jackson and it was dependable everywhere.
